Yes you can do it. You can save your turn during your order phase at any time, and I always do that at the beginning and the end of the order phase, so if something went wrong (bug, or something turning gamey and agreed by both players, I have a way to come back).

Any PBEM save will ask for your password (or your opponent's) each time you open it, so it's normal. The saved game during the order phase will ask for a password, but won't generate a new replay and combat report.

Hope I'm clear

Thanks for the reply

The password i get asked for is my opponents not mine.

When i want to save the game do i save it as normal lke in an AI game, ie press the save game button then exit game via the quit game button?

Save game like you do when you play against AI . Use "save game" options not "end turn" button .

About slots . You can use slot which you want but it is better that you use different one . For exapmle my slot 22 is reserved for those thigs .

I use a slot for each player...He sends slot 32 to me, I run and end orders to slot 33...Then you have a good go back if either of you needs it.
