Also, once you crossed the river, unless you were lucky, you were forced into a park (orchard), and the British, fighting from city hexes, had a tremendous advantage. On the other hand, if you just duked it out over the river, the Germans had superior firepower and could win a minor victory. While difficult, it is possible to win as the Germans. It boils down to the order of firing of your units, knowing when to assault across the river, and having enough across to secure the position. Jason Petho
