If they're clearing mines in their own ports then they aren't on ASW duties or clearing defensive minefields.

It may just be national pride, but I doubt it The Seafire is a better fighter, but it's short range means it's not too good offensively. Vs the AI in 1943 my Seafire squadrons decimated the KB air units over the course of 2-3 days. Don't forget the FAA operates off of armoured decks, if you can keep the IJN at long range then the Seafires should clear up, as the Jap bombs won't penetrate the flight decks

The best bit is around 4 1/2 minutes. Someone is being told she has to take in evacuees, her answer "I don't know, are they coloured"

Seafires make ace fleet defence fighters! Pop them in to a joint RN US CV force and crank the seafires up to max cap job done!

I use mine to evac Dutch units (I try for the whole unit) once resistance in their particular locale is futile. It is useful because now I have many units in northern Austrailia doing very good service with decent morale.

You'd prolly have good morale too if they pulled your ass out of a crack by sub...

I just had a mental image of a refueler getting loaded into a sub...reminded me of when they were trying to get Slim Pickins' radio into the Jap sub in 1941...

The Japs said they needed to start making them smaller...
