Geez, posts like these use to make me wonder why german politicians insisted on introducing English as a (mandatory) second language (for all 5th-graders) in German schools, back then, eheh. Wasted ! Given, I played tic-tac-toe and stuff during English lessons, too, but I still caught an English expression here and there. Seriously now, you might want to use the search function, there are a few posts in here covering how to use CAW's editor. You can export some of the images with the editor, not sure about the map files, though. Section 21.14 (p. 49 ff) of the manual covers the map editor. The map (where u can see topography, water, etc.) is just an overlay which you can create with any DTP/paint program (that's my guess, haven't tinkered with it yet). The underlying map created with the editor is the actual hex-map, which contains the actual map infos (ports, bases, anchorpoints, etc blehbleh), i guess. A lil hint for ppl being tempted to pimp (and release) their custom overlays in the future: don't use google-earth images. :D I wonder why the board-filter censored "sur..."..... hmm .... test...testing.... surface.... surfook....sur....suffolk... damn man, what word did you use? I can't figure it .
