Fatal Error with 1.65 BETA - Anyone else?

Fatal Error with 1.65 BETA - Anyone else? - 8/13/2007 12:59:32 AM

Status: offline 		I just started a 1987 replay using the Detroit Tigers. I went to sim a month of games on Opening Day and I received an error.

Assertion Failed: CAutoPlayer::simOneGame error in CAutoPlayer::simOneGame - Invalid procedure call or argument

If I hit OK, Puresim quits.

Anyone else see this error?

Status: offline 		I, too had received the same code as well ... tried it in three different leagues - the results remained the same -- remember... it's a beta ... help is on the way from Coach Shaun ...

Status: offline 		Oh, crap. I played through a managed game and had no problems. So, this apparently only affects simmed games?

You guys also saw the pop-up announcing that your associations were being automatically upgraded to 1.65 upon game load, right?

I like to sim a week at a time and then take a look at how things are going before making some changes and repeating the process. I'm sure it's just a simple bug that will be corrected in time. Glad to see that other people are experiencing it though. I uninstalled Puresim and re-installed it and I'm still getting the error, if that means anything.

KG, yeah, it told me about upgrading the association.

I am the same. I like to figure out when the newsletter updates and sim each week to that .

I made some roster changes after spring training - no trades or anything, just moving some players around in the order and the rotation. 162 game schedule, ratings change throughout the season, AL DH only... Anything else that might help?

Status: offline 		For what its worth, running XP on my laptop, have upgraded to v1.65 Beta, it asked me to upgrade the association which I did, and have played a game, autoplayed a game, autosimmed a day, and autosimmed a week and all is fine.... closed the game down, went back in and reloaded and have again autosimmed a week, then another one week and again no problems. ( Standard MLB association, 30 teams, 2 leagues, 2006 "replay" style and up to mid August in both leagues, ratings change END of Season - THIS is different to WaleWander's setup !?) So far no signs of any probs on my set up with the Beta.

Can you send me your association? I ran over 200 seasons last night on 3 computers without any errors, so obviously I am missing something in my test!

Would you mind sending me the association? After simming thousands of games without error I need to see exactly what is going on. One last thought -- are you using any player usage settings (lock in lineup, lock on roster etc...)

I thought I would investigate in my association and it let me sim all games until I got to the Cub games. Then I got the error.
evidently it did not like a roster change i made. I could not figure out which one so i load my backup from the start of the 1912 season. I simmed 3 months without incident. I will try this evening to make trades and see what happens !

Status: offline 		Shaun, load the association i gave you 2 days ago and try to sim one game into the 1962 season and you get the error everyone else is getting.
