Fall 1942 - Allies enjoy one last peaceful season, as the WR moves forward by just one for the second straight time. Japan appears to not be interested in preemptive strikes on Hawaii since they invited the US to declare war twice now. Confused by this strategy Nimitz goes back to playing golf until the leaves have fallen...
In Europe the 8th Air Force sharpens ist bombing runs, with Germany very low on supplies (35) it will be difficult to repair those resources we so nicely dismantled in E. France
As far as supply transfer goes, with Russia bravely fending off both Germany and Japan (how did they do THAT?) it is our pleasure to send some more Whiskey and Cigarettes besides Munition and Weaponry to our friends. Not sure if we can continue to be so generous once our transport capacity will be overloaded with supplies for our OWN troops in the years to come...
Anthony has been very busy lately, both with work and family matters. Hetold me he'd do the turn as soon as he could. He hasn't forgot, just real life in the way.

finally got time to play again ...
GER has further consolidated her gain and tightening up the defence. in the only combat action of the turn ... a GER TB was gunned down by another autohit ... i think i just have enough autohit against me in this game
Winter 1943 - US declares war on Japan and Germany, Forces at Sea, Land and Air are mobilized to contain the Axis expansion plans. Another round of heavy bombardments shakes W. Germany despite heavy losses for the WA aircrews. They get their revenge over Romania though. The DEI are reinforced to prevent easy advances by the Japanese Carrier fleet which lies nearby Siam.
Turn sent to A511.
Hope everybody can try to get back to moving at a faster pace as most other rnd 2 games are done or almost done.
The Us finally entered the war and reinforced its position in the Philipines and Malaya thus creating op fire zones of control and disturbing Japans sea lanes. The japanase airforce is not strong enough to deal with both air armies so decides to strike the one in the Philipines odds were 3.24 for the attacker to 3.76 to the defender, but I got 3 fighters damaged for only two americans so there was still an op-fire zoc.
Next phase was to sink as many TF as possible sending 6 to the button of the sea and damaging another one, a LF was also damaged. Borneo and Sarawak were taken, don't know for how long but Japan had to do something about the US agression and embargo.
The Airforce High Command decided to send south all five HB stationed in C. Siberia and on its way bomb the Chinese factory in Lanchow, things couldn't have gone worse for our pilots, four HB were damaged with four autohits. The Gods of War aren't favouring us any longer
WA Spring 1943 - Japan's Battleships are main targets of the carriers rushed into the Pacific theatre, no BB's left for Japan. The Allies outnumber their counterpart 8 to 4 in carriers (2 WA carriers in addition on the way), with fighter cover available from the Phillipines and Singapore we shall fully take care of the Japanese fleet next turn... Some bombings in Europe destroy more resources and infrastructure in France.

"Some bombings in Europe destroy more resources and infrastructure in France."
well, thats true but thats only half of the story ... the WA "forgot" to mention that 2 HB were down by the heavy flaks
sadly, thats the only thing the nazi can be happy about. with range at 5, both land attack and Ev at 6, WA HBs (i think there are a total of 10 of them) are in fact covering from the Baltic Sea to Rumania (the Italy Sub identified 2 HBs in Egypt) ... and its pretty obvious the GER flaks alone cant win the war ...
Though Japan military isn't as strong as the Allies it can still bite, the High Command decided it was time for Empire to Strike Back:
In NE Siberia those two militias were taken care off. Peking was taken from the Chinese and is now again part of the Empire And the Americans TFs near the Philipinesand were attacked with all airplanes available resulting in 2 Cv sunk (with their CAGs) plus one damaged, also 6 CAGs were damaged for 1 japanese Cv sunk. One TF damaged and anotherone sunk.
All in all this won't win the war but maybe the final outcome can be delayed.
Summer 1943 - continued air and sea battles along what used to be Japans life line to the DEI resources. With most of Japans Carrier weapon out of action and diminishing resources the Allied steamroller will only make one final stop - in Tokio
Allied subs launched a surprise attack into the Baltic catching the German Navy completely unprepared. The Germans had their Jet event which catapulted their fighters to 7/9, with 7/7 the WA have to take a break from flying direct attacks into Germany for a few turns. Instead several more resources and rails were bombed all around Europe in preparation of a second front. Hence supply shipments to our brothers-in-arms in Russia had to be reduced.
Good a511 I was just wondering sometimes mails get lost in the web
Japan Fa43
Fortunately the USSR is going for Germany first otherwise the pressure on Japan would be unbearable, we have enough with the Yanks hovering closer each turn to our coasts
We tried an all out attack on the US CV fleet but results were far from expected, not a single flattop was hit, LB are not the best to strike fleets but we use what we have, maybe some Kamikaze attacks would be nice .
Still feeling a shortage of men and supplies from our disaster in rostov, the Russians continue to build and research. Germany has invested heavily into INF, being at 8/8 versus our 6/7. This will be corrected soon...
Fall 1943 - WA further approach Japan with a first attempt of a blockade. After reinforcements were brought in it was time to renew the bombardment of resources in Europe. The remaining supplies were sent to Russia to fuel the Red Army on their way West.
Well now Japan is blocked but we still bite, High Command decided that it was best to strike US CVs and cags rather than hitting those old draughnauts off our shores and we are not at all displeased with the results, cassualties could have been lower but not bad at this rate the US will have a very tough time trying to kneel down Japan. Now if our German allies can keep the ruskies busy that would be great. I wonder how the A-bomb developing is going? I could be a dead duck if it is advanced forgot to check. With next version thing aren't going to be so easy
The screenshot show were battles were held, their cassualties on both sides and the relation between WA's and Japan's navy.
WA Winter 1944 turn - the last air battle was a great disappointment as out of 3 fighter-CAPs only one fired, while 6 out of 7 Zeros hunted down our CAGs. Too bad not all aircraft units fire at each other in air battles??
On to this season's turn - The blockade around Japan was tightened, knowingly at the expense of most of our DDs and BBs in that theatre. But to withhold any resources from Japan will speed up their fall general staff believes... Fighter reinforcements were dispatched to deal with those annoying Zeros. The A-bomb is not in sight yet but with the IJ Army sitting in China (see previous SC) we hope to be able to simply march into Tokio...
In Europe the relentless bombing of German factories and Axis resources was continued, there are 2-3 factories in germany left plus 2 or so damaged ones. Many bomber squadrons went veteran promising further destruction. Plans were drawn up for an invasion in 1944 to support our Russian Allies. Too bad we need all our supplies for the preparations
All air units involved should have targeted enemy air units in air to air match up. It looks like only 1 of the 3 wa fighters got counted for the air to air match ups, not suppose to be that way. Since no JP air units were destroyed it cant be blamed on targeting a already destroyed unit. Cant say the same for the JP fighter that did not fire though. Maybe you should send that file to WH.

the worst possible thing happens ... portugal joins the allies!!! just wonder whether such event has just happened far toooooooooooo frequent in the game which is kind of ahistorical to me ...
