See below. My question is, why no launch against the jap fleet? It was tacked for four turns. so I know where they were. What could have caused this to happen?

could be - no operational points left or your CVs used up all of their sorties.....

Any weather bad enough to have prevented an Allied CV from launching would have been bad enough to prevent an enemy attack a.c. from finding the CV.
