Japan Winter 41

Continued bombing practice showing good results for our brave Cag pilots.
The HBs performed there mission with the inteneded results but the cost was a bit high with 2 HB groups damaged. (dam auto hit)

It was learned that the WA have 5 carriers in the build cue to give them a total of 9 when production finishes. Thats a lot of sea power, hopefully it takes away from there many other military programs they lag in.

Turn sent on to Boerwar

Russia/China - Win '41: Russia continues to build defensively. Chinese industry is in a shambles, children worldwide will have no toys this Christmas. Blame Hirohito. Our spies note a huge buildup of the Luftwaffe in the Med.

(Turn received from Haudrauf.)

Germany, Spring '41

Once again the "Ubootwaffe" doesn't prove to be a sharp tool: A wolfpack is unable to sink a lone transport and gets their own ship damaged instead. Some more aerial action in and around the Med.

Turn sent to MrQuiet.

P.S. Sorry for the slight delay, I'm not at home right now.

Japan Spring41

Not much to report.
I can tell I am tired when I send a heavy Bomber into China intending to strike a factory but click general attack. Bah! Second try I clicked the right orders but got the same result At least the Flak did not eat them.

Screenshot was the last move in which I burned a supply in a successfull attempt to gain exp.

Russia/ China - Spr'41: More building and digging. Latest picture of Europe provided. Stalin hasn't figured out how 15 Arm is going to help our treaty partner Hitler take out Britain, but we trust he has a plan.

(Two weeks? See my comment above.)

Germany, Summer '41
The German air and naval commands have a hard time to believe their units' poor performance in combat.

Japan Summer41

Bombs fall on Chinesses Factorys.
Japan does not like having the WA stop giving the resource gift.
Maybe we will have to come and take the gift.

Russia/China - Sum '41: It had been two weeks since I sent the last turn. Wasn't pointing finger at anyone in particular. Just seems like a long time for a single season to make the rounds.

Russia builds, looks like attacks from Germany and Japan are immenent. China decides to stop building targets for the Japanese.

Turn sent to Haudrauf.

Russia/China - Fall '41: Yes, the KGB is fully operational. The Soviets continue to build. China doesn't have much left worth bombing so we hope that will send those Japanese flyboys elsewhere.

A picture of the Russo-centric world prior to war is included.

A lucky hit of my German tactical bombers to my artillery made Malta fall - to get it back the Allied head quarter decided for a major raid against the Italian fleet, which was quite successful. 1BB and 1DD will never come back...

Japan Winter42

Not much for the Peace loving nation of Japan to do but float around and ponder the turmoil in the Med.
The USA is currently fitted with 8 carriers and cags, thats a lot of sea power.

Russian KGB is busy stealing teck from Germany in unstopable force.

The included screen shot is a indication of the skills of the Italian sub out prowling the Atlantic ocean.
Out of the 3 Destroyers it took out (using up all of its torps) it did not gain any stars for exp

Russia/China - Win '42: Somehow I think the bubble is ready to burst. Russia's build queues are ready to be filled. Picture of forces building in SE asia provided for partner. Apparently Japan has thought better of trying aggression against a peaceful Soviet nation (for now).

In our continuous effort to eliminate the threat of the Italian fleet another major naval attack was conducted in the Central Mediteranian - and again an Italian BB and DD will never come back. Looks like Rommel's plan to have a sight seeing trip to Egypt are at least significantly delayed by now.

In the Atlantic our Navy was more successful this time - we were able to damage a German sub without own losses. Moreover Iraq was liberated without any significant resistance.

Load count is one again - screen freeze due to laptop hibernating - sorry for this.

Japan Spring42

The US has been officialy dragged into WWII with a combo attack on Pearl Harbor, Seattle Harbor, and San Fran.
Japan has taken about half of DEI and landed in Austraila.
Many transports sent to the bottom but WA has many many more.

Biggest Jap losses were HB over Java and CAG in California.
So all in all not to awfull bad.

Russia/China – Spr ’42: The German dogs have violated our peace treaty. The complicit generals who allowed this to happen are executed. The counter offensive begins with an attack on SS Armored unit operating near Veliki Luki. The navy sorties and catches a transport carrying iron ore from Sweden. A stern warning is sent.

China contemplates reality.

A cowardly attack on California forces the US to enter the war. Troops are regrouped globally and the British take Sicily.

Unfortunately Christian Brown's assessment is absolutely right - the best Japanese opening move I have ever seen. Lets see how he manages the overstretched supply lines...

Thanks for the compliments guys.
Haudrauf1962 cranked up Carrier evasion to 15 and I did not realize it untill after the Seattle attack. (off by one to destroying that one)
Had I realized before that, not sure if I would have done things the same way.
But it did work out pretty good. (evasion 12 would have seen 3 destroyed and 1 damaged carriers I think) so that investment did pay off for him.
First time I have seen Carrier evasion up before Pearl attack.

Russia / China – Sum ’42: Panther tanks in mid-42 yikes! Russia musters up a weak counter offensive in the Southern steppes. Losses are fairly even. The Black Sea fleet sorties and manages to destroy the Romanian transport before being severely damaged by land based air while returning to port. It will have to be scrapped.

The American Navy celebrates its first little victory against Japan in the Pacific. The surviving submarine was damaged later. Our CAG pilotes got some first precious fighting experience. Operations in the Med were not successful, two fighters and one CAG damaged without creating any damage on the German side.

After loosing Ceylon to Japan the defense in India has been re-enforced.
