Hi Guys

I am due to talk with Marshall and I will get the full proper scoop for everyone. Don't worry just as of yet.

Considering that it is a computer game no one has paid a cent for, I wouldn't suggest worrying at all.

Yep.  It has been two weeks since that message and a week since ...

Hi Guys

I am in contact with both of them and we discussing the issues.  Once I have all of there feedback I will get back to everyone and let you know where we are going from here.

David

While I don't think any game is worthy of generating panic, it appears the issues are more extensive than we or they were hoping and that we likely will not be seeing this title in the near future.  I, for one, appreciate them facing up to the issues instead of succumbing to the pressure for a premature release of a low quality product.  The project hasn't been especially well managed, that's true.  But we've beaten them up over that repeatedly and I do not believe there is anything more to be gained by continuing the beatings.

It looks like from some forum readers, that they believe that "The beatings will continue until morale improves" ? quiet humorous really, I mean its great to be keen about a title coming out, and I suppose to be disappointed when things dont exactly go there way.  I wonder what would happen when and if they ever become unhappy that a product was done poorly then? crickey!
If you want something done properly you have to wait.

See news link. As part of a class action lawsuit to sue God for all that ills us, perhaps we can add computer game release delays and computer game patches to the list.

ok, perhapse my post was indeed too hard to understand-

I don´t ask for the game (and I don´t expect it to be ready within the next 6 month), I ask for a comment from David Heath about this project.
When David speaks about a discussion and "where to go" it does not sound as optimistic to me as it did some time ago. I wonder if there are several options and worry that there will be one I am not going to like...

If thats for someone close to "sue God" I really feel sorry for him.

Hi Guys

As of right now there is nothing to worry about.  The manual is pretty close to done and the box cover is getting a little bit of an update from Marc.  Richard going over the game and reporting any issues to Marshall.  So the release is close and unless something happens it should see the light of day soon.  Richard and Marshall have been great in helping me get this game to you.

David

Hey guys don't ask for anything else. The game is almost done so we dont want any disturbances. Asking for new screen shots could delay the game another six months while they get them up on the site for all to see. If we stop asking for stuff we may see the game by x-mas 2010. Now that would be sweet.

not trying to get anything from anyone. Just saying the Karma is on the side of the consumer right now so don't mess it up by asking for something.

If it makes anyone feel any better CWiE is going to be almost 2 years late WITH NO AI!!

Computer War in Europe still in development

The Windows edition of Computer War in Europe is moving forward through the debugging process slowly - the developer and play testers are all working on CWIE in their spare time and this is a brand new program for a new platform so it is difficult to estimate the time to finish. Karl has set a November deadline for completion of the debugging, so we are tentatively setting a February release date. The game will continue in pledge status until it is ready for production. All pre-orders have been converted to pledges and will receive the better discount. When the game is turned in and enters production, a letter will be sent to all CWIE customers advising them of the projected shipping date. Click here for a description of the new edition and a demo of the game.

Hopefully they get it right the first time or we could wait an extra year for the correct copyright date on the box.

With all due respect David, it has been more than a month since this pronouncement. While "soon" and "close" are somewhat nebulous, do you not think it is time for another update?
