Hi.

I would just like to take a moment to give further explanation on the regional settings warning and why it's important.

Customers outside of the United States and Canada may have their PC's set to regional settings that are not North American. This can cause problems for the game due to the way those countries represent numbers.

Some countries do not use a decimal point but rather a comma. In North America, 12.34 becomes "12,34" in some countries. As well, dates and time format is different in non-North American areas as well.

Because Maximum-Football is not localized this change in the handling of numbers causes any of the following;

- Player movement on field will be very erratic because decimal values are truncated.
- Statistical values will not save correctly because the game treats the numerical value as text.
- Settings or other data loading into the games data sheets will show problems because some data loaded is basically CSV format. The replacement of the decimal with a comma artificially introduces more columns than the game is expecting.
- Other problems can and do occur.

Because this is a known condition of the game, a Non-North American regional setting warning is displayed on game start up, if the game determines that you are not using North American regional settings.

While the game will let you ignore the warning and continue, it's highly recommended you do not do this. It is suggested that while playing the game, your regional settings be adjusted to North American.

This can be done via the Control Panel. Open the Regional and Language Options applet, then on the Regional Options tab, set the the option (in the drop down menu) to English (United States).

Windows will enable a language bar on the task bar. This will allow for quick switching between your native settings and the North American settings required for the game.

thanks
