I tried to set an ambush over Akyab today. And it worked. Instead of basing fighters at Akyab, I have them based at Rangoon and on LRCAP over Akyab. Old Castor walked right into that one. B-26s wont be in fighting condition any time soon, they all turned back with moral in shambles no doubt. Wellingtons...well, you can see the results. Of the damaged aircraft ~10 were damaged by AAA, the rest by my fighters. Also, the A6M3a fighter came online. I am right now in the process of resetting all of the Japanese aircraft industry. All other production is halted while the fighter factories change their production lines from Oscars and A6M3s to Tojos and A6M3a:s AFTER ACTION REPORTS FOR 11/09/42 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day Air attack on Akyab , at 30,29 Japanese aircraft A6M3 Zero x 37 Allied aircraft CW-22 Falcon x 1 B-26B Marauder x 49 Japanese aircraft losses A6M3 Zero: 18 damaged Allied aircraft losses B-26B Marauder: 6 destroyed, 29 damaged -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day Air attack on Akyab , at 30,29 Japanese aircraft A6M3 Zero x 18 Allied aircraft Wellington III x 78 Japanese aircraft losses A6M3 Zero: 18 damaged Allied aircraft losses Wellington III: 56 damaged Japanese ground losses: 48 casualties reported Guns lost 1 Airbase hits 4 Airbase supply hits 3 Runway hits 28 Aircraft Attacking: 4 x Wellington III bombing at 19000 feet
