We sunk roughly 70-75.000 AP cargo capacity, with some more probably heavily damaged. This isnīt that bad! Cargo capacity equivalent to 3 IJA divisions. Hortlund is serious about Chansha now! I had hoped he would achieve a 1:1 at best but he could even have achieved a 3:1 with a bit luck and I would see all my troops surrender. Iīm in real trouble now and need a retreat path. Our troops are ordered to shock attack the Japanese units South of Changsha, but if Hortlund shock attacks again next turn and achieves a 2:1 the base will fall BEFORE my shock attack is happening as the Japanese attack first... I still canīt understand why I always have a lowered adjusted av... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ground combat at Canton Japanese Shock attack Attacking force 62273 troops, 709 guns, 4 vehicles, Assault Value = 1147 Defending force 37129 troops, 177 guns, 0 vehicles, Assault Value = 925 Japanese max assault: 1744 - adjusted assault: 336 Allied max defense: 900 - adjusted defense: 1137 Japanese assault odds: 0 to 1 Japanese ground losses: 2866 casualties reported Guns lost 79 Vehicles lost 1 Allied ground losses: 546 casualties reported Guns lost 3 but thereīs nothing to achieve for the Japanese in the urban hex and the attacking units suffer again...
