Heh, know that feeling. I had an RPG group once (in high school), where the rule was that we never started gaming until midnight and then kept going for 8-10 hours straight. Seen many a sun come up.

Of course, too old for that sort of silliness now...

And here i spent all of my highschool chasing girls and beer.

But you still do that.....what changed?

I had to terrible misfortune of marrying a Val and went down in flames five years later.  Now I have a Paula which, fortunately, has no equivalent in WitP!

I found it was easier to set a trap and wait rather than chasing. A house and a large bank account make excellent bait not to mention my other charms.

Yeah, lets not mention those...

Haven't got anything to bait the trap with. No house, no large bank account, no boyish good looks, no sparkling personality...

Also no particular inclination to trap or chase, after the disaster earlier this year...

One time I stayed up late finishing an Uncommon Valor turn (second one of the night) until I finally told myself.."look you idiot, you have to work tomorrow". I was asleep before I could say Finshafen (or however you spell that)

My father was there for a time during the war and he's always pronounced it finch-haven, with a sort of soft 'v'

quote:

The next day, the mom of one of my patients is in the office and I can see she is supressing a giggle the whole time she is looking at me. I start the checklist...shaving cream on my ear lobe?..negative...dried toilet paper controlling hemorrhage on neck?...no...fly open?...negative. Finally she asks with a giggle...."where is Lunga?"

"Did you say Lunga?, I asked incredulously.

"Yeah, I called you last night to see what I should do with the fever and you kept saying, "the Japs attacked Lunga"

You know you have the bug bad when...

I have been known to play obsesively. Sometimes staying up way too late, but at least I've never done anything quite like that.

Bill

Just wait until a woman introduces herself to you and you immediatly think of the aircraft named for her.

I have a friend named Rita and built a kit of a Rita for her once. The Rita isn't in the game though. It was a late war 4 eingine bomber that never made it past the prototype stage.

My mother's name is Betty. When I was a little kid I thought it was funny that a Japanese bomber was named after her. When they were younger, she also looked like a double for Queen Elizabeth II (they are very close in age). One time I was in a museum in British Columbia and they had a wax figure of the queen and when I first saw it out of the corner of my eye, I wondered what my mother was doing there.

Yeah! I'll really have to beware of those girls named Devastator, Hellcat and Black Widow.

Only if they wear high heels a lot.  My wife hates high heels and will never wear a heel more than an inch and never one significantly narrower than the shoe.  Her feet are in great condition.

She also happens to look about 15 years younger than she is.  She's paranoid about people finding out she's older than I am (11 years), but on the rare occasion people do find out, they are shocked that she's not younger than I am.  Slow aging runs in the family, her father still had black hair when he was 80.
