Whenever I change my ships in the formation editor, it seems like ships I put in the center will ALWAYS end up grouped right on top of each other. Especially if I've resized the formation as whoever designed the scenario made them 4,8,12,16 when I'm using a 8 ship CVBG with 60 planes as well.

I'm in a game with the CGN California, a Roosevelt Carrier and an Improved Spruance on top of each other, then down a little a Nimitz and a Supply are on top of each other.

You know what I would prefer? When I put a ship into the centre ring, it goes to where I put it and stays there. I would prefer to use this for for ship formation. I would then use the outer rings for any planes.

Are you using 'Zoom to Main Body' when setting up your formation ?

No... where is that? I can't find it in the manual either. I remember it from an old version though.

With your formation editor open in the Scenario Editor (SE), the 'Zoom to Main Body' button is the last one on the right. It permits you to arrange those ships that are in the centre of your formation.

Why would I have the scenario editor open when I'm in-game?

Sorry, I understood that you were editing a scenario.
