You are thinking of the 64 version..That one was about 10 years earlier.

I was thinking of the 64 version as well,it was pretty screwy,east was the top of the monitor,map was sideways.I liked the random events,such as Hitler gets assasinated or Africa Corps defeats the british and gets sent to eastern front.

Ah, this thread brings back some memories. Wonder what ever happened to "Ravinghood". Yes, I misspelled it on purpose. Did he get banned or just leave?

He had like 3 ID's I think. Ravinghood, Killroyishere and one other I think. Funny how the personality was identifiable.

Yes I did,east was at the top of the screen,instead of north,how most games are now.I thought about putting my monitor on its side to compensate but didnt.

The map looked quite impressive from the previews I saw. 

Also according to the previews the AI was supposed to improve over time as it learned how the player played the game.
