Didn't the Russian I, II and III corps have calvary units allowable in the Corps, with the I Corps holding 2 Cavalry and the other 2 holding 1 each?

Was this changed based on EiH? I have never played that version, so it could be.

not played all nations, but yeah some corps have been changed, the french corps 9th to 12th are only suppose to have 12I/M and 1 C, but they got 15/1. But never played EIH, so must be something from there.

eih had a different appraoch to corps organization that was a lot more histroical imo, but could be hard to implement.

that said the first three russian corps should have integral cav factors.

Comes straight out of the EiH 3.0 OOB, which was what this game started out as some 4+ years ago when Michael Treasure was onboard.

Hey guys:

FYI: Most of our OOB came from EiH3.0 so you will see some differences in counter sizes.

hrm,

that has to be a continuity error then.

i recall 2.0 had them, and 4.0 certainly does. in fact, one of the things i liked about eih was that the oob's were a lot more historical.

but the 1788 oob russia starts with the corps had 1 c each.

not sure why that changed in 3.0, you'd have to ask michael.

We played with 2.0 here so I never saw 3.0. yet I find it wierd that the Russian cavalry allotment was downgraded so dramatically. A four corps "main" Russian stack has a LOT less hitting power with the 3.0 values. It reminds me of the big debate about the General's 1792 scenario, as to the lack of listed cavalry for Russia was meant as zero or a typo.
