I have just realised that I forgotten to take a screenie of the key again. I will endeavour to remember when I play the 1926 turn.

2,500 tons of supplies have arrived at Suva from Sydney.

US 1st Corps Artillery will now head for Kendari, instaed of Soerabaya. USAAS 103rd Base Force will now head for the same destination to help build defences. More elements of US 1st Cavalry Division have loaded onto AKs at Soerabaya for Kendari. APs will hopefully arrive for the rest next turn. I am not sure that I can put strong enough forces ashore, but Kendari will now become a destination for supplies rather than an exporter. CA Charleston (39/0/2) and CL Birmingham (37/1/1) reached Kendari, took on fuel and then left for Singapore. They will be repaired in theatre.

4 Chinese CLs and 3 US DDs left Canton for a surface sweep to try to bump into some of Martin's transports. I am hoping they will not find something bigger like the last time they went looking for trouble...

I got a "bridge flooding" message during the attacks on No 57 at Midway (see screenie), so hopefully she'll have to go away for repair.

Another2,500 tons of supplies arrived at Port Moresby. All troops convoys heading for Kendari have been given orders for full speed. The last of US 1st Cav loaded onto APs and left Soerabaya this turn. I will be fashioning an ultimatum from the British to the Japanese telling them to halt their aggression in the DEI and enter into peace talks.

The Colombo DDs met up with HMS Agamemnon and are escorting her to Singapore.

Not a lot happening. The second ASW tf should arrive at Midway next turn and the Wake force is still steaming slowly on at about 2 hexes a day.

The first elements of 1st US Cav should be at Kendari tomorrow. Base forces and artillery are about a week out. I think the DMs on their way to mine Kendari have stalled. I have tried giving them a different home port. K VI sailed from Soerabaya to patrol Amboina, while the British L-2 sailed to lay mines at Brunei.

US 1st Infantry Div has arrived at San Diego. I forgot to move ships down from Mare Island in advance...

At Kendari, 1st US Cav Div is still unloading. My little jaunt to Tsingtao obviously reminded Martin that he had all those troops there. If the newly arrived convoy is there to move them south to the DEI, I will no doubt regret the reminder. S-14 will rush from the Pescadores to Tsingtao. My Chinese CLs will sweep as far as Okinawa.

I appear to have missed a turn . The last lot of files Martin sent did not open for me and I sent them back, but the next report seems to have advanced a day. Just as well things happen slowly...

My ASW DDs at Midway appear to have driven off Martin's sub (or more likley it ran out of torpedoes...) and are returning to Pearl Harbor.

24,000 tons of fuel from Karachi is unloading at Kendari. 1st US Cav Div is complete there also. It's a gamble commiting my only reserves, but I figure when aircraft arrive shortly Martin will come after them and will face my main land force in theatre as well as the bulk of my dreadnoughts. He has more reinforcements available closer so it might be too great a gamble...

R-16 has damage 13/1/0 and has left Tsingtao for Canton. It will be days before more US subs arrive at Tsingtao.

Here is the requested summary of Jap DD losses.

The screenie shows some Japanese ships at Marcus Island. My Wake Force is not very strong and I do not know where the bulk of Martin's Dreadnoughts are...

My Chinese task force managed to open up the range and escape from the Martin's battleships, so that was lucky. US 1st Corp HQ and Artillery are coming ashore at Kendari still. I really hope I guessed right as most of my eggs are going to be in this one basket...

What are your ship experience levels like? I'm noticing that even a few months into the game it's rare to see a combat ship reaching the minimum levels obtainable through training - 55 for day experience, 55 for night experience. Can you do some comparison between your current levels and pre-game levels?

Some of the ships that have seen action seem to have day experience in the high 70's. I'll try to remember to do a spot sample and pull out some good examples.

Nice job on the AAR!!

BTW - i think Manila would have been a bear to take even in the 1920's... it was at one time a medieval walled town, and lots of stone buildings, iirc. About 22 years later, it was still a tough nut to crack the IJN (not IJA) forces that dug in there - evem with the large amounts of air power, tanks, etc. available to the USA forces.
