It seems after I bring the available counters screen up, somehow it ends up sticking and will remain on the screen and I am never able to view the game board again. This screen will remain month after month and phase after phase.

When you right click on the counter pool screen you do not return to map view?

If you are talking about the Selected Nation window (small window top right corner of screen) then try clicking any sea area. However, clicking any land area will just bring it back on screen again.

Yeah, I finally figured it out.  Thx.

I had to wait until XMAS to get the game since it was on the very short XMAS list I gave my wife :>>
I was actually getting a little worried reading some of the iffy reports to start.

It did take me a little while to get most things figured out, but the game seems to be fairly solid.
The AI is a little silly sometimes.
However, I'm quite pleased with the 1.0.0 release.
