My 16th Army won a decisive battle in Austalia today. They held the attack of outnumbered Australian troops, make them suffer heavy casualties. My paras capture the broken hill and the roads to Sydney and Melboume are widely open. There is no way back for the Australians to their capital or other important city now. My Australian Campaign seems to be end soon.

BANZAI!

AFTER ACTION REPORTS FOR 03/13/42

Air Combats

KB is now suppressing the allies air force in Sydney, making sure they won't disturb my amphibious action too much. 27 Australian planes were shot down and another 9 were torched on the ground. We lost 1 zero and some Vals. However, the Sydney internatianal airport looks quite sturdy, only 25% damage after the first day strike.

My 16th Amry is good. They stopped the attack of outnumbered enemies and make them bleeding. The Australians fight capacity will drop dramatically after this single combat.
I don't think they will try shock attack again.

Australia Campaign: D-DAY!!

03/15/1942
06:00AM
Imperial 25th Army started amphibious action on the beach close to the small town called Newcastle. The garrison in Newcastle is yet weak, only 32nd AUS Bde and the orginal fort unit there. Over 60,000 25th troops made the landing on the first day. Casualties are acceptable, ship damage mainly come from the mines there, but not much damage has been done.

I prepared 3 bombardment fleet and over 100 dive bombers from the KB to support the shock attack tomorrow, I need to secure the beachhead ASAP 'cause the enemy reinforcements are on the way!

Three rounds of Bombardment turned Newcastle a true inferno. 25th Army captured the town with ease. Bad news is that President Tomik pulled out 32nd Aus Bde in time and it wasn't overruned. This will put some trouble when we seige Sydney.
Another piece of bad news is that my 7th Tank Rgt is destroyed permanently, I didn't foresee this and there is no seed for it. Big lost for the imperial army.

A possible Allies invasion fleet in far southeast pacific was spotted today.

Is it an invasion towards Penrhyn Island or just pass by? Let's assume it is an invasion.

I got 2 AMC nearby, they won't able to stop this but at least they can do some damage

A lot of actions today.

Big deal, US invasion at Penhryn Island is defeated! My coast gun Rgt did an excellent job and beaten the crap out of Yankees. Americans suffered over 3,000 casualties on the beach! That's one third of their whole forceMost of the ships in the fleet are damaged, even critically damaged by the coast guns. BANZAI!

Several medium air combats both in China and Australi. A lot of Allies planes were shot down. My loss is acceptable.

56th Bde captured Wellington in New Zealand. All the bases on the north island is now secured. The assult values of NZ troops in the field has halfed since Auckland fell. I don't think they can hold for many days.

Thank you for anyone who is interested in this and Trollelite will be next President.

We have agreed on starting a new PBEM before the nemo challenge and this is a good chance to "fulfill" the promise.

I know he is an excellent Allies player, even better than his Japan.

I believe this would be a great AAR and thanks for watching :)

Comments are welcomed for beating trollelite.

I guess you it would be difficult to find replacement... The game is lost. The speed of the operation of Hades was amazing - I sent the ships with supplies to Australia from Aden in the first day of the war. They have to return back near Sumatra, since the Pert was under siege. I gather ships in Panama, sent them to WC, load hundreds of planes and troops and moved to NZ. In that time, all Pacific islands were ocuppied. After 3 months on the sea the coast of NZ was only 600 miles, but KB appered there supporting invasion. We turned back out of fuel...
I see now that HR banning all 4e naval attacks is too strong, particularly during the first stage of the war. If I could use them, the loses of would much higher and free movement close AF limited. The attcking of resources was banned as well (in all continent), which limits too much (though it has no relation with my desastre). The ban for any operation on north (Kurils, Aleut Is.) was limiting even more - I do not remember why I agreed with.
I have only doubt after this game - there is probably no way to stop well prepared Japan attack bypassing PHI. The only mistake I did was CV battle (moreover, my planes were set airfield attack only, realy stupid), but the existence of 4CV could not help NZ or Australia at all. The only free

Nevertheless, congratulation!!! You smashed me brilliantly!!!

Any allies players would be inspired by this screen.

The power of allies in the late of war is overwhelming, it is very hard for japanese players to stop them.
No matter how bad it looks like from the begin, all the allies players need is patience and waiting for the right time.

In this particular game, for example. This is my second CHS game playing Jap side. My opponent just disapeared after 20 days after I did the same thing to him.  So, basically, this is my first time to play CHS 155 for this long. In scen 155, Japanese Army is greatly weakened both in total assult value and technic equipments, which is more realistic. And it is less possible for jap players to achieve more as in the stock game.

However, it is still possible for an aggressive player like me to achieve some thing like this. Your only true lost is 3 US carriers, they were captured by a trap, which you can see in my previous posts. And the lost of one among Australia, NZ and India is almost inevitable, if you are playing against an experienced Jap players. This has been approved by many AARs in this forum. Allies side always have chance, the player just need to wait for the right time.

And, for the HRs issue. I guess you didn't expect a Jap player like me, so you offered a set of HRs which I called "generously", that's what I said in my native WITP forum. I just accept it with some small changes. All the HRs I brought up is just for stopping some gamey tricks.  As I always said, HRs are always open and negotiatable. Trollelite will apply his own HRs but we haven't discussed it yet.

Thank you for playing me this long and you had done a brave job. Let's see whether trollelite can do something different to stop the upstoppable empire. Please drop by when you have time, you are always welcome here. Wish you all the best.

But, the things in west Australia really pissed me off. All my troops moving to Melbourne entered the deserts and it will takes them at least a week to come back to the rail road. What a stupid path finding system! And as the recon planes report, troll seems managed to send some reinforcements to Melbourne, 40,000 troops are spotted there and more than 300 planes!

In China, over 2,700 AV Chinese troops entered the hex between Ichang and Hankow by the same path finding problem. If they can move to Hankow I will be in big trouble.

Congratulations, impressive campaign in the Antipodes!

The taking of Auckland should mean that you can prevent any aid from across the Pacific reaching the defenders of Melbourne, so you ought to be able to complete the capture of Australia.

What then? Are you planning to go over to a defensive posture, or do you believe that 'attack is the best form of defence'? And if so, where next?
