Mack mentioned an issue in the Appropriate Loadout thread, that I wanted to make as it's own subject. This mostly comes into play with the longer-ranged strike weapons, like HARMs or Harpoons.
An air strike strike is ordered for a group of aircraft. And the target is an SAG (Surface Action Group of ships). The planes are launched and fly to an intercept of the target. The target is made up of several ships. The escorts may be 20 miles out from the main body. As soon as the closest is in range, the action pauses and it asks to do the strike and the choice to 'execute' or 'cancel'. Most of the time you want to target the main body of ships so you have to 'cancel'. Then the choice the staff guy asks is to return to base or not. So the answer is 'NO'. then it clears out the course and target and sets to Loiter speed. So you have to then enter course and speed again and proceed until close enough to hit more of the ships.
For the wish list, it would be nice if the mission had choices. The HC Gold version would let you cancel the strike and then it would run for 30 seconds or so of game time then ask again. Not real smart but better than cancelling. Maybe HCE needs an option like 'Continue' or 'Get Closer' on the strike box or the return-to-base question.
