sorry but didnt find anything in the manual...if i deploy an arty unit in tactical defense,if the enmy attack the adjacent exg, the unit react with ranged fire or try to attack directly like infantry? adn what about if in local reserve...??

As of the latest patch, artillery and HQ units in tactical reserve won't move into the attacked hex but will provide supporting fire, at half their strength. As far as I know, this doesn't apply to local reserve - the units will still move towards the nearest battle until the turn or their movement allowance ends.
