As far as Han and Murat attacking the beta testers, where were you? Like I said, I never really got to beta test but I often read the Beta test forums and there were SOOO MANY problems that you hindsighters don't know. It's also very mature to attack a whole group of people that helped (freely I might add) bring this game to fruition.

We volunteered to beta test and we sure the hell have been doing a bunch of cleaning up since release.

we have alot of work ahaed us to get the game to be where it should be.

I am attacking this concept that beta testers are owed a free copy of the game. Apparently the beta testers did not help for free since you state the NDA promised them a copy which means U$70 (I on the other hand have done my things for FREE - I bought the game) and you yourself admitted that most of the beta testers did not do enough work to merit that. Some people actually worked hard as beta testers, my guess is those are the people listed in the manual. Ardilla was not one of them and he insults not only the beta testers but us customers by coming here for a free copy when he didn't earn it.

You know... i was a beta tester for Crown of Glory and then Forge of Freedom, until my Wife was diagnosed with a rare bone disease and i became Mr. Mom, and i have at least 2 registered copies(purchased) of Forge not counting my Beta one which i deleted when i stopped. IMHO, it's about what WE can do for the cause  not what THEY can do for us.

This is the only way traditional wargames will survive in the XBOX/PS/DS/WII world!

By the way, I have playtested on 3 different projects (none for Matrix --- yet) and have never received anything but the satisfication of having helped improve something I cared about.

I respect YOUR FREE work and whatever you do with your free time, not as you critize mine and other fellows by arguing that we did not a good job,...and things like that.

It look like you had a kind of resentment with the betatesters that didnt hang over enough till the release of the game, problably Marshall can tell it, will be 90% of all.

Under my point of view I am not insulting you or other customers, anyway I you thing so, I am sorry. Otherwise, again IMO, you are insult us...but maybe its just my opinion....you can do, as you did or you are doing, helping the game up, but before the release, there were many years of work of many people before you.

EiA is a very complex game, I dont remember any of my boardgames without a rules discussion....tranlating this to a computer game was not an easy work.

Regards.

P.S. Hope to meet you in a email game...but dont expected and alliance from me :)

The public forum is not the place for this discussion. Per their NDA agreements, active beta testers are owed copies of the game. Marshall is going over the list and anyone he sends to us as qualifying for that will receive a free game. Testers should already have a free digital copy of the game from their testing, the physical copies are always delayed until we get them in stock in the office.

If anyone from the test team wishes to continue this discussion, please do it on the private forum where I assume you have access.

Regards,

- Erik
