Impressive, sir! You look to be in a very strong position. With New Zealand you'll have Australia completely cut off.

Right you are! Since day one I have been trying to keep supplies moving south so that that we'd be in good shape for a while. Hopefully it is enough. Palmyra, Christmas, Wake, Midway all have over 20k supplies (or close to it) and more is on the way. I have about 250K supplies heading to New Zealand.

It isn't the millions that the Allies can churn out, but hopefully it will keep us in the game a bit longer if a deep CenPac drive cuts off the south.

Well, at the risk of AAR spies (I trust OSO very much though) - the best place for him to counterattack currently is in the North Pacific. I have been trying to harass his bases up there enough to slow his buildup in Dutch Harbor to buy time for my bases to get stronger. I've also focus my airbases on the mountain bases to get the 4x multipliers. But still - I have very little AV up there and the fall back positions at Paramisho Jima and OJ, are still only size 1, but rising now that I've put some engineers there.

Still - NoPac is what has me worried. A strong push there while I'm in the middle of the New Zealand ops would not be fun at all.

KB Vals hit Suva again and the attackers continue to reduce the defenses. The base should fall in 1-2 more days. (1 to 1, forts 2 -> 1)

Christmas Island in the Indian Ocean was captured today.

Kiska was occupied in the north.

We attacked at Sian, but results were less than desirable. Our troops will rest up again before the next attack.

Following a Zero sweep that met no opposition, Sally, Helen and Liz bombers hit the Chinese east of Lashio. Two thirds of the 55th Division then easily force the Chinese back across the river to the east, back across the Burma/China border. One third will remain to guard the crossing, and the other will move north to attack Myitkina.

US Carrier planes attacked Adak and destroyed one Zero on the ground. 11 SBD-3's were damaged by our flak. Our planes will remain on station though, as several ships are spotted at Dutch Harbor and nearby.

US Carriers in the North.


Suva will fall tomorrow as our assault today destroyed the remaining fortifications of the enemy.

Status: offline 		You're in a very strong position Feurer Kreig. As you mentioned in my AAR we have similar positions but on opposite sides. Your domination of the Pacific is what i'm trying very hard to stop GH doing. Great graphics

Suva fell easily today and 10,000 enemy POW were taken. 4 Singapore planes were also captured.

Suva captured.


In the north, our Jakes attacked twice today. First hitting a tanker and igniting its cargo, then hitting a cargo ship. We did have some losses there today though, 3 Zeros and 2 Jakes against 2 P-40Bs. New pilots are coming into the fighter unit there, but they are fairly green. (around 45-50 xp)

Tanker is set on fire.


In China, despite our best efforts, one division arrived to Yenan to soon and was counterattacked by the Communist units there and forced to retreat. Tomorrow the rest of the army should arrive, and hopefully they will be able to hold. The division will move to Yangku and rest, while two brigades on garrison duty there move to Yenan. In south China, we have three divisions arriving in the next few days. Once those have arrived and moved into position, we will invade Changsha.

Defeated again.


Off the coast of distant Karachi, the I-24 was attacked and hit with a depth charge. It has a long way to go, but it should be able to return to Singapore.

Nicobar Island was secured today.

Several bases in the Pacific were expanded today. Truk, Milne Bay, Port Moresby and Rabaul airfields were all expanded. Port Moresby also opened new dock facilities to facilitate faster ship loading.

Things were mostly quiet today. Lots of ships continue heading south to Suva and Noumea loaded with troops, supplies and fuel.

In Burma, a large air raid hit the 21st/A Mixed Bge as they march towards cutting off the trail out of Mandalay.

More action in the north today. First, I-170 put a torpedo into DD Hughes. The sub took some light damage from other destroyers in the area and will return to Tokyo for repairs.

Sub attack.


During the day, Jakes and Zeros again attacked the island of Umnak. Two cargo ships each took one 100kg AP bomb.

Jakes strike again.


In China an attack was launched on Sian, but no major ground was taken.

Very quiet today.

Some fighters attack our troops in Burma.

After several days, our planes finally attack the enemy ground forces at Yenan. Th enemy there has not launched an attack since our troops moved in, so we may have finally become entrenched around the city for good. More troops are on the way, and once they arrive we will try to take over that base.

Noumea airfield was expanded today.

Status: offline 		I am still following sir, excellent work. I def approve of your use of Jakes in the North - low resource theatres = improvisation.

I also have to say, that's a whole LOT of LBA the Allies have in India. Do you plan on advancing any farther north than Mandalay?

Won't take long though once I get to it since not much happening. April so far is pretty quiet as we get ready for Operation Sakura. And on that note, the final OOB is below....

It must have taken a while to put that much force together! I count.. the equivalent of ten divisions and a whole lot of tanks... And enough Zeroes to make air support a given.

Sakura is New Zealand, right?

It has taken sometime - a couple more days and I'll start loading all these troops up. I'd guess about 80-85% of the my lift capacity is currently located at Suva and Noumea. Singapore falling in January helped a lot as those divisions were able to rest and start shipping east pretty early on.

I-165 dodged some depth charges near India.

Zeros flew a sweep over Dutch Harbor, and afterwards Jakes bombed the place. No hits were scored on any ships there though.

Air attacks on Dutch Harbor.


Noumea port facilities were finished and ships can now safely dock and undertake minor repairs. (size 3)

The small island south of Singapore, Singkep, was captured today. Vanau Levu, north of Suva, also was secured.

Scattered small scale air to ground attacks.

Artillery fire along most of the Chinese front. The Chinese attempted to break the siege of Sian, but were easily repulsed.

Chinese attack is repulsed.

I-156 misses a ship in the Indian Ocean.



Chinese again attack at Sian, and are again repulsed.

Airfield expansions occur at Munda and Luganville.

Zeros and Jakes attack Dutch Harbor. No ships hits, but light damage to the port facilities there.

Our army at Sian takes advantage of the last two repelled attacks and launches an attack of their own. The attack goes very well, and the city is further reduced. (3 to 1 odds, forts 7 -> 6)

Our NLF 'raider' group reaches Coen on the Australian mainland and seized the town from the local citizens. They will now leave to the north, having achieved their goal of demoralizing the Australian citizens.

Japanese raiders terrorize the local population.

P-40B's sweep over Adak, but don't find our Zeros. They are on the way to sweep over Dutch Harbor where they meet a large group of P-39D Airacobras. The Zeros do well, even the new recruits in that group, and down 10 P-39Ds for the loss of 3 Zeros. After the fight, many of the rookies gained a great deal of experience that will help in future battles. (I was surprised to see several pilots gained 4-7 pts each just from this one fight.)

Air battle in the north.


Wau airfield expands, as well as Christmas Island. Christmas Island expansion is complete and can now support 2 engined torpedo bombers.

Game date is actually 5/1/42. OSO's PC died, so I'm using the break to get this AAR caught up. April was a pretty quiet month, outside of Burma and China.

Sakura moves along - all the piece are getting into place. KB is at Kwajelein repairing a bit, all the CVE,CVL and CS are at Rabaul doing the same. There hundreds of ships gathering at Truk, Rabaul and Kwaj. This is definitely the largest operation I've undertaken so far in any WITP game I've played.

Since it appears most enemy units have vacated Mandalay, we have decided to charge the river and attempt to take the city by force. To prepare for the assault, all available bombers and fighters in the area were ordered to pound the area today. An initial attack of 51 navy fighters and 134 army fighters escorted 78 two-engined Army bombers. This attack met minor resistance which our Oscars easily brushed aside. A short time later, 44 G5N Liz four-engined bombers also passed over Mandalay bombing the enemy airfields there. Overall, 4 Oscars, 2 Liz and 3 Sally planes were lost while 11 Hurricanes and 8 P-40E's were destroyed in the air and on the ground. Also, the Mandalay airfield appears heavily damaged.

Imperial air forces attack Mandalay.


Two army groups have been ordered to cross the river into Mandalay in 3-4 days, ideally the attacks will occur simultaneously for maximum effect.

Another assault on Sian continued to make progress. (1 to 1, forts 7 ->6)

The TK Imlay, damaged by Jakes at Dutch Harbor, was reported sunk at Kodiak Island.

Abemama airfield was expanded. (size 3)

Another large raid hit Mandalay, but all enemy aircraft had fled the area.

At Yenan, in China, our force attacked and pushed the defenders back into the city. (1 to 1, forts 8 -> 7) Baring any disasters at Sian, it is just a matter of time before Yenan falls. The city is surrounded, and more IJA forces are on the way.

The noose tightens at Yenan.


Southlands and Adak Island both had airfield expansions (size 2 and 3, respectively).

Zeros and Jakes attacked Dutch Harbor again today, but with results. AVD Mackinac was hit with a 100kg bomb and a large explosion was reported.

AVD Mackinac, hit at Dutch Harbor.


In China, half of the 18th Mixed Bge pushed back 3 depleted Chinese Corps under the 22nd group army. They will follow and continue to keep our flanks from Ichang and Sian secure.

Jungle warfare in China.


Suva airfield can now support 2 engined torpedo bombers and Tongatapu has a rudimentary airfield it can use for fighter defense. (size 4 and size 1, respectively.)
