Not sure about the "philosophy" behind this : so Dumnorix, you hold no right to the material, but want to sell it, then refuses to give it away except if people "work for you" making maps ??
Legal question apart, I'm quite shocked, never seen that kind of fan-content in 15 years ! And really not sure it helps the game community in any way

Hallo PDiFolco
JTCS meets PG3D is A mod and incoming goods search more coworkers, in order to complete the project. Everyone brings in itself, can it the original version JTCS possesses thus so long, these mod from me to receive.

Sorry however your anglo-saxon Gamecommunty is simply too bad - bad grafik in the original play, very bad maps and many military-historical errors.

Sorry We set simply higher yardsticks!

Hallo IronPig

We are at 60%.

Only Barbarossa Armygroup center 22nd june 1941 to 10th august 1941. The battle in southward kiev and the battle of yhazma/Bransk are not included. The last fight is the battle of the bulge near yelna and the timoschenko attack Gomel/Roslawl.

I work mainly on Barbarossa, the second work now is kursk and moskau.

We need more mapmakers !!!!!

60%? and that after a lot of months! It must be a very wonderfull map/scen!

The most interesting part on your mod is that it is possible to make your own tactics on the battlefield! In the original game you have a few rounds time to get all the objects and have no time to test a different tactic. Now it is possible

what about these battlefields? Sewastopol and Leningrad. Do you want to make a own scen for these battles or are they in a planed scen of you?

60%! I know it is a lot of work and you have all my respect for this great mod!
But do you have a date when the complete mod should be finished? Or is it a open end mod?

One does not have these strategic possibilities in the original play. I was one first, which starting from 1998 Eastern front I played by email in different leagues, but the correct strategic tension did not give it there.
Now it is possible to play all large theaters with own or historical ideas.

A Krim-scenario is planned, the map for sevastopol is ready - complet krim-map is at 10%. The south of Leningrad was included in my 1st german tank division LCG. A global Leningrad scenario is however not planned.

Starting from next month I will make every 4 weeks available a Multiplayerscenario to the free down load.
It is an open end mod !!!

Sounds good but every 4 weeks a new scen? Including the map? I hope it will be so professional like your other maps! ;)

how long do you think you will need to finish the last 14 maps/scen?

I think your plan is to finsh these 14 maps and after that you will begin with the pacific right?

I hope for the sevastopol and Oder/Neisse to berlin scen! I love big battles in the city and in berlin or around berlin you have the high tech from the WW2. It will be great i think!!!

It is the greatest work for the CS fans! :) thx

In addition the Mod must be played with the attitude 800x600! If not, the grafik looks very bad and does not correspond not to the legendary model PG3D!!!

in german:
Der Mod muß außerdem mit der Einstellung 800x600 gespielt werden ! Wenn nicht, sieht die Grafik sehr schlecht aus und entspricht nicht dem legendären Vorbild PG3D !!!

Great Balck!

nice screenshots

Can´t wait to test it :)

but I have few questions

first:
I think you have written it in a old post but I´m not shure. Is it possible to build bridges across a river with the pioneer units?

second:
Is it possible to use planes as a real unit in the battlefield like the other tanks, inf, trucks? You understand? I think the "original" airstrikes are very uneffective

third:
I see ships inside your mod! Do you plan a szen with big battleships like the bismarck, hood or the yamato in the pacific? I think it feels like the old pacific general

Hallo Ironpig
quote:

Is it possible to build bridges across a river with the pioneer units?

Every pioneer-batallion have bridge-equipment (germans like bridge Column K) as transport unit.
They can transport all units over river (boots and ferrys-simulation)That needs naturally very much time!

In addition we have special batallions with pontonbridges.(germans like bridge Column B)
These can in approximately 3 rounds be put, must however be simulated by fords in the map editor.

quote:

I use planes as reconnaissance planes. The enemy can not spot this and can only fight with flak units against this planes. I think the bombinggroups and fightinggroups are many effektiv !

quote:

I use over 70 different ships in the near future. The pazifik area is the best area to use this very beautiful ships.

Here are many old ingamevideos with a part of old graphics (produced in the middle of 2007) and an Introvideo (briefing) for the LCG-Campaign 1st tankdivision in Fall Gelb 1940 - it is for the first scenario - 10th may - Fight against Martelange.
http://files.filefront.com/Spielvideos+JTCS+meets+PDzip/;9685739;/fileinfo.html

and here an screen of the maginot line southeast from Sedan. The Maginotline is part of my big Multiplayerscenario Fall Gelb, also in the smaller Scenario Fight for Sedan and a part of the 4th and 5h scenario - LCG campaign 1st tankdivision in Fall Gelb.

Hi H.Balck,

thats great videos!!! Do you have more of them?

After watching these videos I think some of your sounds can be better.

I think the tank-sounds are like a chopper. Is it possible to change them with sounds out of pg2? Or a other sound thats sounds more then a heavy tank?

And the second sound/s are the roketsounds. The katjusha and the nebelwerfer-sounds!
I think the typical screaming sound of these rokets are missing. you know what I mean?

Without these points it is the best round based game in the WW2! Really wonderfull!

Hey, I thought this mod was supposed to be über-realistic? Those bulge screenshots are obviously the first day of the campaign, and everyone knows that there wasn't any measurable snow on the ground until December 22nd!

That is an unacceptable a-historical representation and I am beside myself with apprehension and loathing. This anglo-saxon westerner demands that it be corrected to show the historical weather condition!

Hallo simowitch (Hilfsfuzzi)
The snow strengthened starting from the 20th december. In addition, more easily snow lay already before. Unfortunately one cannot differentiate with JTCS between light snow and strong snow, it is in the visibilities. Is safe however one day before Christmas the weather clears up. Perhaps you should take times newer literature to the hand.
