Just wanted to draw your attention to the updated Battlefront manuals which are available in our Members' Club as downloads for registered owners. Click on the MEMBERS link in the top navigation bar and either login or sign up and register your copy of Battlefront to download them.

Eric, I cannot download the manual. I am having the same problem as earlier with downloading Titans of Steel. I finally went to the alternate site to download. Is your entire FTP server down? Thanks

This may be related to the FTP server being hammered today on account of the free TOS download. I've just asked our server admin to check on this and see if it's that or some other issue.

You may wish to hold off downloading the manuals. The ones posted in the Members forum are currently the original documents, not the 1.02 versions.

Fair comment, but the updated manual may be useful for people who have recently picked up the game, plus there's an additional 30 odd pages of content there compared to the original...

Looks like there was a screw-up on our side. I'll make sure the correct updated manuals are posted first thing tomorrow morning when the folks who did this are back in the office.

4 excellent scenarios came with the game and 2 user mde scenarios have since been added.

I got the game in February 2007 and I have been PBEM-ing ever since. I estimate it will take 4 months to complete al the Mirror games. And by then yet another scenario wil have been released.

Battlefront! is light years ahead of any other wargame.

I have one and hopefully I will release it for playtesting very shortly. I know two others that was being developed at one time (Casino and an Island scenario). I have not heard anything about them in a while.

First, I want to thank everyone involved in updating the manual. I do appreciate all the hard work put into it.

I have not read thru the entire new manual. I did spot check a few places that I found mistakes in the original manual. In one instance the mistake was not corrected. I noticed on page I61 sec 18.1 it is still showing that you can gain victory points for units existed off the map. That was never implemented. I learned after designing a scenario to use that feature and then found out that it was not in the game after all. I was also hoping that there would be info on programing the AI added since there really is very little info on it.

Again, I don't mean to be negative, and I do appreciate the update.

hmm seems to work for me...

You need to first go here

http://www.matrixgames.com/members/ and log in.

Then click on the Registered downloads link and you should see the Battlefront entry towards the top of the list, click on the Downloads link on the right hand side.

Please let me know if you are still having trouble

G'day Chris, yep done all that, in fact I have managed to dl the other2 files, the update and the tutorial, but the manuals won't.

If you're in the Members area, you get one chance to download each version of the manual (there's two versions, e-book & manual light). So you can download one and then you have to log back in to get the other (this was my experience).
