P.S: my CVs don't want repair their demages, I've tried to change the port but the effect is the same
I'll transfer the squadrons away...

Saso,

first of all let me congratulate you for the very good job you seem to be doing. I would not have believed you would manage to take back Lunga. I would only build it to level 4 (which will probably take quite a while) if I was very sure I could hold it.

The only ports in which I have seen Japanese CV repair progressing in this scenario (in stock version, however) is Truk. But this was a V E R Y slow process if I remember correctly. maybe one or two points of sys damage per week, depending on the total number of damaged ships in port.

Regards

Hartwig

Thank you very much, this operations cost me many ships (roughly 40) but I have a strong position in the Solomons now.

Initially the repair system works slowly but it did work, now my CVs don't have repaired a single point. This happens only with CVs and my opponent has the same problem.
I don't think that there's something of wrong, simply bad dice.

I've started the bombardment of Espiritu Santu but the escort don't flew at all and I have lost 30+ Betty's
The good news arrive in the follow turn, the BB North Carolina hit and heavily damaged

Anyhow I lost roughly 50 Betty's in three days, too much for Japanese effort...

Well, my opponent has started his counter offensive, the airfileds of Buna, Gili Gili and Lae are shut down, Port Moresby is full of aircrafts again and five enemy units taken a small base.

I don't want change strategy (although it may be wrong) and my first target is Ndini.

I'm gathering a lot of units for this invasion:
8th area Army, 17th and 18th Corps Army;
38th and 2nd divisions;
65th and 35th brigades;
South Seas det.;
85th Naval guard;
Kure 5th and 6th SNLF;
sasebo 5th SNLF;
1st and 4th NLF;
three base force;
roughly 1800 AV to smash-up eight enemy units (two of them are divisions).

Another week (maybe 10 days) and the operation will start.

Good news: finally the Shokaku has repaired a few damages, now is 19 sys damage

I think that my opponent is going to take Gili Gili, he has bombarded it day by day and now I spotted several TFs near Cooktown.

If this is true I believe to have a good chance in this moment:
- go to Gili Gili maybe is a mistake, I have roughly 80 Betty and 90 Zero ready at Rabaul (most of them with experience 80+),
- will be a operation rather expensive for both (of course I hope more for him ), I'm thinking to sacrifice 2 BBs and some CAs against his transport TFs,
- he has one CV and 1-2 CVE more all LBs avaible (surely 100+) therefore I don't want to use my CV Junyo and CVL Zuiho in a direct attack,
- lost Gili Gili isn't a big problem because I want destroy his units at Ndini and I can to retake it later,
- if his forces are concentrated on there I'll have the open road to Ndini,
- I'll try to use my ACTF behind his back,
- too many if...I like this plan

We will see.
