Here is my initial production. I want to get at least 1 fighter and 1 divebomber and 1 med tank a day. I'm trying to produce inf just from munich so i get SS units. Does anyone know if they fight better or are they just cheaper?

As you can see in this screen shot. I'm going to try to breach the north part of the Mag Line. If i declare war on the minor countries it just opens up a can of worms i don't want to deal with right now.

Or do you think i should go for it?

I just researched Basic Infantry 2 and spent the majority of my reserve supplies upgrading everyone.

Winter has set in which is sucking up double supplies since my units want to stay at 100% readiness. I've got 1 strong SS armored division and 1 strong SS infantry division on the north of the maginot line. In a couple month si hope to have 2 more infantry divisions so i can push through into the interior of france.

I'm still trying to decide if i want to attack the allied minor countries which opens up a big can of worms.

I've managed to force a breakthrough at the northern most maginot line hex. I am now just waiting on engineers to get there to run a bridge down to this space so the rest of my forces can flood through without worrying about attacking the minor countries.

Here we put up feint resistance on the eastern end of our defensive line on purpose. As we hoped the allies took the bait and came flooding in. While at that time we sent out Panzer spearheads and started to swing the trap closed on the back of that 400+ PP allied army.

Here is one of their major attacks trying to push over the bridge but we had a unit ready to stop them in their track.

After a fierce round of conflict we have managed to clear the center Maginot hex and effectively have cut off the other units of 3rd HQ (allied).

The plan going forward is to sweep upto paris in the next couple turns then after france has fallen i will focus on the low countries. I might make a vichy france i'm now sure. What are the benefits to going vichy? I guess it makes western africa `friendly`.

After our next round of combat i've managed to destroy a large part of the western army encircled to the west. And i've managed to push upto Paris. There is one mechanized unit that has 83 PP that has me concerned. It's just outside divebomber range so next turn i have to move my planes up so i can start to wear down the city.

Ouch my 1st SS Panzer army got smacked like Ike beat Tina. That's going to be a mild setback. I still have the airfield so next turn my stukas will rain death upon paris!

I just upgraded my divebombers to level 2 & fighters to level 2. Hopefully this will make a difference in the air war because while my ground units are powerful they are not plentiful enough to simply steam roll over a heavily fortified city like Paris.

The i-ties are in the war now on our side. So we've loaded up a small division onto a couple of cargo ships we need to take malta so we can deny its access to the enemy. Putting some good fighters on there would really help interdict the med.

Latest bombing run on Paris was intense and it softened the way for the ground attack!

We did it!! Paris is ours! We're going to declare Vichy soon enough so that we can then sweep through the low countries and take them out before redirecting to the Balkins.

On the italian front we have a division in Africa. We also took Malta from the brits.

Vichy france has been declared. I have put all my air units right on the border of Britian. I have also Strat moved my 2 tank divisions to the balkins to get a head start on this fight.

If you mean the numeric value(Counter Strength)on the counter of a unit, the fomula is.

Counter Strength = Power Points * ( rdn / 100) + ( Power Points * ( xp / 100 )

there are only 3 variables (pp, rdn, xp).

pp can be increased by upgrade.(The Power Points of all subformation types in all included release scenarios are set equal to production cost / 100.
(manual, page 49).)

high rdn is about beeing in supply.(manual, page 41)

high xp is about traning(up to 40) and fight.(manual, page 41-42)

If I understand it I will say upgrade subformations and/or let the units get some
fighting experience in the west or against some minor.

The balkins war has flared up we have put together a new division under a newly formed HQ called Southern Kg.

The 12th SS Panzer Division has been formed with 40 SS Rifle II. And 118 Rifle II plus a couple 88's and a couple medium II tanks.
This should be a nice addition to our attack on the balkins and greece.

The Africa Korps has a humble beginning with only a few armored cars to provide mobility.

But we landed 3000 supplies on the docks for the AK to use. The battleship taskforce docked in Malta seems to be doing a good job of interdicting the enemies supplies. I get little gray circles that say powerpts killed. I have some subs coming off the line that i want to put over by gibraltor. The sooner i can take out gibraltor the easier my supply lines will be in the med.

no the subs got waxed...though i just did upgrade to sub 2! If i'm going to challenge the allies it has to be with submarines as i can't afford to put a lot of work into a big surface navy. I've got to keep my Eastern front ready for the russian bear!

AHh crude i made a mistake! I sallied the italian fleet with 300PP out to fight the allied fleet with 300PP but i went in forgetting i had already moved them a bit so they ran out of AP right in the middle of the turn. They are not setting out there and will be made mince meet. That just further puts me into the submarine camp.

I'm also having a dilly of a time keeping my AF upto snuff. I've lost 20 Fighters II's in the past 3 months. I've just upgraded to fighter III hopefully that will help stem the tide and let me turn the tables on the brits.

Nice AAR bro... I like a good AI AAR, players don't do to many of them.

Soviets should prove to be a real challenge with AI++ chosen. That's a lot T34's

What is the Date?
