I have downloaded a scenario for West Front from Thegamers.com and run into an interesting problem. It's a D-Day scenario and the Free French troops which land are unable to fire. In fact, when the CTRL button is pressed a highlighted French unit immediately is told "unit is not eligible to fire." Obviously, they have sufficient points to do so.

I thought the problem might be that it was a scenario developed by a modder so I used the random battle generator to set up a Corps sized battle between German and Free French troops and could not find a single French unit which was "eligible to fire." No wonder France was overrun in 1940.

BTW, the British troops which land alongside the French have no problem shooting and the Germans bang away gratuitously.

Any ideas would be most appreciated.
