Since updating to the latest v1.15 patch, AT redraws extremely slow. Everything - the VR Designs splash screen, the game setup menus, scrolling the map in a game, etc... I can literally see the screen redraw in "swipes" from top to bottom on every screen redraw.

This is not a slow machine - Quad Core with an nVidia 8800 GTX with latest drivers. AT ran fine previously, and all other games work fine.

Has something changed in the graphics code? Is anyone else seeing this?

I also have a laptop that I will try the new patch on this evening to see if I get the same thing before and after.

I've noticed a graphical glitch on the history replay screen. See the attached screenshots which show the same piece of real estate. I simply scrolled the area out of view and then back into view and it looked different.

WinXP SP2/Intel 2.8GHZ(single core) MSI Nvidia NX8600CS videocard

second screenshot in support of above comment... I have an MSI Nvidia NX8600GS with 512MB ram with latest drivers.

Update: I installed the 1.15 patch on my Vista laptop (Intel integrated graphics) and could not duplicate the graphical glitch I observed on my desktop machine.

Hrm... Looks like the issue I experienced is limited to just that particular computer. I've tried it on two other computers and had no problems. Odd though - I've had no issues with many other games on that machine.

Is the .NET framework or any other Microsoft-related stuff different on the computers?

Nope. It's all up to date. Latest video drivers, all service packs, .Net Framework 1.1 and 2.0, latest DirectX. It's an XP machine, too.

The only major difference is that the other two machines that work are Vista machines.

Did you have the same issue with v1.10? or did you upgrade from v1.00-v1.02 directly to v1.15?

I ask this because after v1.10 i made no changes anymore to the graphics drawing code.

One thing you might try, but this is just a guess is switching off hardware acceleration for graphics.

kind regards,
Vic
