I just wasnt 100% sure who made 'em, I was like 95% it was you
and like to give credit were its due.

How often do you see the player portaits when you are playing league? I know in arcade and coach mode you see the QB in the pregame, the kicker before almost every kick, and the player of the drive (normally the QB, WR, or HB) I am asking because if you don't see the portraits in league mode often then we may not need every players picture. I will be fine either way so if anyone has an opinion that would be great.

I havnt played a game in weeks
been way to busy doing stuff for the max mod or stuff for others

I play once a week if I am lucky. I have the same problem though sometimes I can go weeks without playing. When I do play I normally don't get through the first quarter because I think of something I could edit.

sorry guys I'm suffering from a case of what can go wrong will go wrong! Finally get my son taken care of and then my damn car died ($1400 repair :( ) I'll get what I can together tommorow when I get in from work.

I havent posted here yet, but I wanted to thank you Hoop27 and therhino and all involved in the Maximum Mod. Its great to see this kind of effort for MaxFB. Im just a user of the game, but this is what keeps me and others coming back. The Mod community added years to my enjoyment of Civ2 and Civ3, Battlefield, and countless other games.

cool man thanks! on a personal note the week of hell continued after a $600 dollar vet bill and a suprise visit from the inlaws today! My wife assures me that I will have time tommorow to catch up with everything!

So tommorow will consist of a lot of downloading/compiling to figure out where exactly we are.

Quick little update. I have gotten the final permission (that I can think of right now) to use certain mods in the max mod. So a compiling we will go a compiling we will go ..... etc etc.

I have to express my thanks to all the modders that have graciously said yes to us using their mods for this project.

As for an idea on progress, the rosters are my biggest worry right now but I am sure we will get there! Graphically I think we are sitting in that 75%-85% range of completion. (maybe higher) So I can assure everyone we will be releasing before the year 2010 ;) LOL

On a side note I am still looking for coach profiles so if anyone wants to send us a profile or two please do at the email address on page 1

A quick note on stadiums. we are getting to a point where every team will have an individual stadium in a 32 team league. we arent there yet but getting closer everyday!

Hoop I am using the L1s from the link that you suggested. They are the best I have seen, so far I have the AFL and NFL (Mykal said he had the CFL taken care of) and some of the NCAA 1a.

I removed the backgrounds and replaced with pink, the saved em in the wrong format

ya those L1's are insane. The next step would be to take everything that is complete (CFL looks close. we will have to decide on which team gets which stadium and try to apply some custom art to each I'm thinking scoreboards to start with) then create a league then zip up the entire thing and viola we have a part of the mod ready to go. Rhino get in touch with me tommorow on messenger. (I'll be off and on throughout the day) and we can make some decisions on what is complete and what needs work.

Then ideally we can send out a beta of a complete league and let folks play test it to make sure we dont have any crashes etc.

Just about to send in the converted L1's, sorry for the muck up.

Converting/personalising Stadia...................CFL I already have done
Scoreboards, advertising boards, most of the Fans in main team colour etc.
cos I always play CFL rules (when I get the chance).

I'll re-look at them and make sure I'm 100% happy with them
do you want the whole stadia with the bits I altered
or just the altered bitmaps?

To pay credit.....cos we should, the original staduims were made by DONMVP

You've gotta be kidding..............I have a whole load of graphical programs I use
Graphic is my thing.........I've been doing graphics for close to 15 years........only as a hobby
I can do almost anything when it comes to graphics, web design & animation
wouldnt wanna do it for a living though........spoils the fun.

I'll explain in a little more detail what I was thinking. when we create the league (we'll use CFL as the example) in the team edit part we will assign the stadium that has been modded to that team there.

So in theory there could be the same stadium used for 2 teams (shouldn't have to do it for the CFL but for NFL and NCAA we may have to) the only difference is there will be team specific's in each stadium. so it's the same stadium just 2 different file names, so as the game would be concerned it's 2 seperate fields.

eg. Stadium A will host the Jets and Giants however we will mod the stadium twice. once with Jets stuff and one with Giants stuff (scoreboards etc) so when that is done we have it as Stadium A Giants and Stadium A Jets as an example.

And before anyone gets cranky I realize the Jets and the Giants play in the same stadium in real life lol Guess I had New York on the mind ;)

Does that make more sense? Or do you have a better idea to attack it?

Yes I get your point, In fact I already do this in my 48 team CFL League
But rather than swapping bitmaps around all the time I have the stadia saved in the game multiple times
already set up for each team that uses it.

So, anyway.............
do you want the complete stadia or just the altered bitmaps ?????
cos just the bitmaps may not work if people dont use the same stadium I used.

sweet. as per the bitmap v full stadiums, I think we should deliver a full stadium in the mod so people dont have to mess around with putting what where. it would still allow them to pick and choose pieces if they wish to edit it further.
