Only on the WITP forum would an abandoned thread end up going for multiple pages...

I think it's an unwritten rule with WitP.

Kind of like all of the other rules that are not in the manual.

It must be a trick.  I will wait until my code breakers decrypt the hidden meaning of disregard.

Look, if the sound of one hand clapping is the ultimate one can aspire to in the way of intellectual nourishment, then the "thread of one hand idly tapping the keyboard" has got to be the Witp equivalent.

Standby for episode 2 - 'The Tau of Ubercap maintenance'

And not even one highjacking.

If you choose to disregard the disregard do you then have to disregard it all over again?????

If a thread is typed in the woods, and there is no one there to disregard it, is it regarded?

In that case the glass is dry, could disregard be some old Kiplingesque call for the bartender?

It seems so obvious now, the original post was made at a bar...

disregard

Is actually a combination American Slang/ French term.  It means::  This Rear Gaurd.

I do believe that "Please This Rear Guard" is a pre-WW2 slang term for "there's hookers back at HQ, go please them".

So fess up, where is dem hookers?

Oh, most high and exalted one, we your humble correspondents do humbly beseech your favor by removing from us the blemish created by the regard we held for the originator of the thread which led us to disregard the disregard title regardless of the consequences which have been so frightfully wrought upon the whole scheme of existence regarding the disregard thread, regardless of the fact that we have been sinful regarding the directions issued regarding the disregard thread.

But...But...If da meaning was clear, then and only then could it be disregarded. In this case what is exactly ment to be disregarded? This thread simply screams, "I'm not going to be ignored..."

You guys crack me up. I bet if you saw a sign on a board that said "WET PAINT - DO NOT TOUCH" you would touch it to see if the paint was still wet.

So would I.
