Should I buy Starships Unlimited II?

I've been playing the demo (for Starships Unlimited) and, while I like it, there are too many things that annoy me for me to want to buy SU II. Of course, if they have been changed in SU II, then I'd like to buy the game.

Has the command interface for ships been changed? It is rather awkward (in SU I) to command a ship to explore a particular unexplored system.

Is there a way to disable the "auto-production" of units (freighters, spies, etc.) at your planets? I don't mind ship repairs going on the queue but I do not want anything else unless I explicitly command it?

Is there a way to see a list of ships, damage and useful artifacts (like relics)?

Is there a way to get a list of all planets to see their potential for colonies?

Short answer: Buy the game, it's great. I haven't played I, so my long answers might be a bit off.

Select ship from the units pop-up, click on the system in the star map, click on the navigation icon, pick "explore system." (I have to learn the keyboard shortcuts....)

Lots of automation can be disabled, including everything you mentioned.

Not sure what you mean--a list of all your ships with their damage? List of all relics and where they are? No to both.

There's a planets pop-up that lets you list the top planets for colonization based on various criteria.

To complement zorach's help :

The demo is in fact Starship Unlimited -1- , so yes many changes have been made in Starship Unlimited -2-. (Graphically and Gameplay wise)

You can now play the entire game using the starmap if you like, making it easier to explore, issue commands, etc.

You have control over any auto-production the game offers - Spies, freighters, refit, etc. can be turned off and on.

Finally, the game comes with a very complete documentation. All ships available, every weapons (damage, weaknesses) , artifacts, all the planets types and their colony potentials.
