Thank you, Adam. (blushing) As for best baseball books, I did a quick Google search. One-volume history : "Baseball: A History of America's Game", by Benjamin G. Rader The Red Sox: "Red Sox Century", by Richard A. Johnson I don't own either of these, so hopefully some of my esteemed colleagues will weigh in. However, a volume I DO own is the literally massive "Total Baseball", which was recently updated. It is much more than a reference. Apart from the stats, this tome has many many great articles on the teams and the development of the game. If I were to recommend just one book, it would be this one.
