Chuckwalla, as I'm swedish, I find it a little moving that you're leaping to our defense. Rest assured, however, that nothing written so far in this thread have managed to offend me. On the contrary - I got those wonderful 'swedish chef' links to cheer me up. Haven't seen those since I was a little kid

I must also chime in with a couple of the other guys - Having [previously] absolutely no clue that our PM was a gamer, he's managed to move up a couple of notches in my eyes.

(It's just too bad that he's simultaneously in the process of disassembling the swedish defense forces. Sadly, IMHO, it's also mostly due to inept defense politics. )

Grollub is very close to the Russian word for pigeon, which is golub. Does the Prime Minister of Sweden have any connection to Lulea, where Grollub says he's from?

Although I'm not a native Russian speaker, it's possible that Mynok may be a Russian word for a small mine (mina is a regular sized mine).

Also, Naskra rhymes with the Russian word Iskra, which means spark. I looked up naskra in my Russian dictionary and could not find anything, but there's a word "naskok" which means swoop or attack.

JP, I have to disappoint you in your little conspiration theory - I'm not the PM. I thought that my little political comment would've tipped you off? Hmmm ... come to think about it, that could also be seen as a nice little deception ...

Anyway, my nick 'Grollub' comes from the time I used to play Magic:the Gathering. There was a ugly creature card named 'Grollub' that I used to play, and so got named that by my so called 'friends'.

Well, unless the Swedish Prime Minister lives in North Carolina, i don't think he is Mynok!

A "Mynok"* is a creature from Star Wars V, iirc - lives in caves in asteroids and likes to chew on wiring...
EDIT:
*not sure it is how they spell it in Star Wars literature... but Mynok admitted that is where he got the name from.

And, no, rtrapasso is not a Russian code name either, as far as i know...

Now if only Scarlett Johansson would confess to being a WITP player. I could die a happy man.

It's enough for me to know that Natalie Portman plays. (Doesn't she?)

Does 'Canoerebel' translate to something specific? I seem to recall 'U Canoe' has some meaning in the US, isn't it Annapolis or something? Does this imply Canoerebel is
A) Somebody who went to Annapolis, but (important point) was somehow a rebel?
B) Somebody who didn't want to go to U Canoe, and therefore rebelled?
C) Somebody who rebelled, on being sent to U Canoe, and finding that Natalie Portman wasn't on the faculty?
D) Somebody who sails canoes up and down the coast, proclaiming 'The South will rise again' a lot.
E) Actually, it's his name.

If none of these apply, please disregard this post.
