Hi svhrg, First of all, welcome aboard! You are in for allot of fun and the people here at the Matrix forums are a great bunch! What you might have to do if all else fails is to uninstall the game, reboot your system, and then re-install. :) Make sure that you re-boot after every step, that is each time you install either the game or the update files, re-boot each time. I know that the default of the installs says that it must re-boot the computer, some of the later upgrades, I can't remember which, do not. So always re-boot! I know that this is a pain in the ***, as the files for the original game (5.02) take a wile to de-compress and install, but you might be better off with doing a clean install. Maybe someone else here will have a better and faster way of fixing your problem, so I will defer to them, but if not, go with a clean install. Again, welcome aboard soldier! John
