Just a quick query: will the saved games currently being played with v1.02 be affected in any way by installing the new update v1.03 ?

I'm well into a big scenario ( Hajo Baltjes' 'Market Garden' ), but am not averse to starting again from scratch if needs be.

Thanks for any help, as always.

If you play against a human opponent both players should patch. I have no idea what happens to games against AI that are in progress. I don't think that was tested.

Thought I'd give this one bump, just in case.

Jason, do you have any info on the matter ?

Both players will be required to be up to 1.03 standard.

You'll more than likely have a graphical glitch with starshells and bridges, but this is only for the one turn and they do not influence play.

After that, the turns should play as normal.

AI games should not be affected, with the exception of East Front DCG's - they MUST BE RESTARTED.

Hello Paul,

As far as I have noticed, the application of the 1.03 patch (Member Club version) will not influence a battle file stored under the 1.02 patch. So, you can continue your fight for the bridges in Holland. The only differences I saw were a differenr denomination of infantry platoons (showing now the year of establishing this knde of platoons; viz. "Para Platoon 41") and a different sound for some weapons.

Greetings,

Hajo

Hajo ! Hi there !

Thanks for the info, mate. Yep the battle continues; XXX Corp's drive north is proceeding well and should be linking up with the 101st Airborne very soon. 82nd Airborne is coming into contact with approaching German elements east of the Groesbeek Heights, and the British 1st Airborne is digging in around Arnhem and around the drop zones to the west in anticipation of the next lift arriving.

A lot of the time is spent in what I call 'administration' moves, gathering troops, HQs and transport back together after combat, loading trucks up ready for the move north, unloading artillery ready to support the advance and so on. Its all a lot of fun.

Regards

Paul
