Good. Let's give them the time they need before we go on griping.

Instead, let's turn to Item # 29,089,211 on my List of Things I Don't Understand About Women:

I just saw an ad for a new woman's deodorant that promised to make its user smell like cucumber and green tea.

Cucumber and Green Tea seem to be key ingredients in many cosmetics aimed at the fairer sex. I'm not sure why though. Maybe they think that by using cucumber and green tea products that it counts as one of their 5-a-day for fruit and veg

This also reminds me of a joke.

A man is sat at home when a genie appears and announces "And what would you like for your third and final wish, oh master?"
The guy looks at the genie "How is this my third and final wish, when I haven't had any wishes yet?"
"You have had two wishes already, but your second wish was for me to put everything back to the way it was before. Because of this you have no memory of the first two wishes."
"Alright then," said the man, "I've only got one wish, so I wish I understood how womens minds work, what they're thinking and why they're thinking it."
"It is done oh master" replies the genie. "It's funny though, that was your first wish too"

Question: so at what point does "Oil prices hit a new high" stop being news? There has been an article on that every day for at least the last three months. Now, "Oil prices decline"...THAT would be news...and happy news at that.

It stops being news when it is no longer the number one factor impacting the economy. It could be news for quite a while.

This has all the feel of the dotCom and refinancing craziness of the last 10 years.

I whole heartedly agree that there is quite an oil frenzy these days. Where I think this differs, is that I don't think there is as much of a bubble in oil as the old dot-com days. I personally believe that less of this price runup in oil is caused by speculation than congress or the public wants to believe, and more of it is caused by a good old fashioned increase in demand. (Read, India and China)

I thought this and then a friend of mine who is relatively high up in 'big oil'.....said it was all 'Wall Street spec.' (not just WS but world wide stock markets) .....causing the problems.......although he was not concerned as his bonus was on the up..................but let's refrain from any thought that may be seen as political......my.... we are having loveley weather here in th UK.....at least for the next 10 minutes......and the price of herring is down.....ish....

Forum ate one of my posts...

In short, I think increased pressures on supply and deregulation of futures trading have created an environment ripe for wild speculation. I think there's a growing speculation bubble. It used to be markets reacted only to major events, like a class 4 hurricane wiping out gulf coast production, now they react to rumors about the smallest of supply changes.

I just got these:

Due to the climate of political correctness now pervading America, Kentuckians, Tennesseans and West Virginians will no longer be referred to as 'HILLBILLIES.'
You must now refer to them as
APPALACHIAN-AMERICANS.
And furthermore...

Is the male alternative smelling like steak and beer?

I doubt they'll get away with that as the original Appalachian Americans will object.

At least it was white wine and not red wine. The stained nostrils might be a bit difficult to explain at work tomorrow.
