Well, I never said I was done goofing off.  Now I am (temporarily).  Off to patch the walls.

Erm...would this be damage from a post-exercise temper tantrum?

Naw, not this time.  When we bought our current house, all the rooms except one had wallpaper.  My wife and daughter removed the wallpaper from the downstairs bathroom.  That's their way of telling me to patch the nail holes and paint it.   The paint magically appeared too.

When I bought my house in MN, back in '98, every room in the entire house had wallpaper, and all of it was old, and dingy.  Over the next year, I stripped every bit of it and painted the entire house.  OMG, what a horrible job!  I have since taken a solemn vow to never remove wallpaper again.  It is worth almost any amount of money to me to have someone else do it.

This stuff was put on in 1989 when the house was built.  95% of it just peels off.  Pretty easy to do.  But yeah, I agree, I hate wallpaper.

So it's kinda like WitP and kids: they come without instructions......

Drive by tithing.

So, speaking of home improvement, I just saw a show on the Home and Garden network in which the decorator refinishing a house suggested a "paint" that could be used on hardwood floors to refinish them.  Anyone heard of such a thing?

No, but I wouldn't be surprised if it existed. The whole point of hardwood is the look of the wood. If you are going to cover it up, just go for carpet IMO.

Finally leaving work.  I feel greatly inconvenienced by the increased workload that builds every year around this time.  It keeps me from reading/posting on the forums and seriously slows down the pace of my PBEM game.  Instead, I have actual work to do at work.

A thought occurs: on all the Jackass-type garbage shows, there's always a preliminary blurb about how the viewers shouldn't try this at home. However, wouldn't it be better for the type of "people" who watches this type of "programs" to actually try them at home as much as possible?

It would potentially kill off more than a few of them, which would reduce their corrupting influence on the global gene pool.

Sometimes we play jack-ass at work.
The latest stunt we pulled was making a large plastic ball out of discarded shrink-wrap material from our shrink-wrapping machine.
We then have a volunteer sit in a chair and from about 10 feet throw the giant plastic ball as hard as possible at him.
Of course he can cover his dingy and wear eye protection.
