hmmm, not sure what to do, alot of friends are telling me to start playing World of Warcraft, if only AE were out now....

Ogame.org. Universe 23. Thread Alliance.

how many threadsters are still in Ogame??

Not I. Devotion to WitP takes singular dedication.

I had to stop - it was too much of a life-stealer. WitP is too, but at least you can play at your convenience.

Very good point, GBL, and the very reason I dropped out last fall. I've decided to play a conservative, defensive style which requires MUCH less time online, and involves none of the stress. I have almost no combat ships, but a bunch of cargo ships. I never worry about fleetsaving, because I can easily afford to lose all of my ships and rebuild them easily. In 3 months, I have not been attacked one time. I'm not worth it for anyone big enough to beat my defenses. I'm having a lot of fun with it.

Hey, NCSU.  The Pack took it on the chin last night.

I'm sure there will be a comment in the next email turn I receive from our esteemed Martian USC fan.    I think he is just like most of them.  He just likes to be able to shout, "Go, Cocks!"

I did not watch the much of game last night - from what I read and saw the Pack did not perform well at all.

They played very well in the first half, down 3-0 on a late field goal. I didn't watch the second half. Went to bed instead. Good decision.

I have a feeling that if the Jets even taste success and the Pack falter that Wisconsin will be too depressed as a state to participate in the national election. Cheese futures will skyrocket as even the cows decide giving milk isn't worth it. In supermarkets the Sauerkraut and Brats will have to be brought in from Germany. Yuppers will be forced to build a wall in order to stop the flood of refugees into Michigan.

In a word the devastation would be almost total.

Go Vikes

Hey, TGW! I'm a Vikings fan, myself, after living in MN for 5 years. What NCSU and I were talking about was the NC State Wolfpack's loss last night to South Carolina.

D'oh, I assumed Pack meant Packers. That stupid assume word has been kicking my butt ever since I had it explained to me in Basic Training

Up early. I went and joined a temp agency today. Figure it will do my resumé some good that potential permanent employers can look at it and see that I haven't just been sitting on my butt.

That's a good move T. Boost the job network as it were.

Things are looking pretty grim here at this company. We just don't have a good enough sales capability, and I've struggled to find partners that can help us close that gap. I'm officially cranking up the job search myself anticipating I'll need something by January.

Looks quite solid to very strong, Chris. How many teams in the league?

Only during the cheers. And why comment in private when I can trash talk in public?

We simply wore you out. The injury to your QB hurt as well because you were starting to get a running game going. That killed your timing and allowed our D to regroup.

Kinda reminded me of so many of our SEC games against the big boys. We'd play them really well for 3, 3 and half quarters and then suddenly, as if by magic, they would start running it down our throats. It's just a lack of depth really. We're just getting to the point where I can see us being able to hang with the big boys for four quarters.

O'Brien is going to build you a smash mouth football program. You saw glimmers of that last night. It will take him 3-4 more years of recruiting though.

12 team league. We us 1 QB, 2 RBs, 2 WR, 1 WR/TE, 1 WR/RB and 3 defensive players. I'm a little concerned being so invested in the Jets office. I'm crossing my fingers that Favre still has a little magic left.

In a 12 team league, I'd have to go with very strong. Well done! I hope you don't do as well with your pre-rankings for the Matrix league.

Hi all,

It looks like November for our over-the-big-pond thread brothers will be interesting one... elections are nearing and one surprise catches another...

I know that we don't want politics here but, hopefully, some things are really above the usual left/right difference!

Drafting #2 helps.

I don't think I have even rated my players yet for that draft. DO you know when the draft is?

Don't know when the draft is yet, but likely over this weekend.  There will be a notice on the league page when the commish (Paul Vebber) sets the draft to run.  He may have posted something about it in the FF thread of the Gen Discussion forum.

Here's the team I ended up with in our work 10 team league.  Live draft, but I wasn't there, so sent my pre-rankings to the commish.  Have to start 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, 1WR/RB, 1K, and 1 team Def.  I got Adrian Peterson with the 7th overall pick!

Tsunami

1.(7)Adrian Peterson

2.(14)Larry Johnson

3.(27)Laurence Maroney

4.(34)Torry Holt

5.(47)Carson Palmer

6.(54)Marvin Harrison

7.(67)Jeremy Shockey

8.(74)Chicago

9.(87)Adam Vinatieri

10.(94)Hines Ward

11.(107)Kevin Curtis

12.(114)Adrian Peterson

13.(127)Ahmad Bradshaw

14.(134)Bobby Engram

15.(147)D.J. Hackett

I've already dropped Bradshaw and picked up Alge Crumpler in case Shockey isn't ready to go.

nice draft!

I hear KCs running game is struggling, but I think Marooney will have a nice season.

Martin, it's, at the best, American Rugby - the "football" is game played with ball (the "round thing" - not the "egg thing") and with feet (not hands)...

Installing Vista now.  It seems to take a bloody long time to do anything though   It took several minutes for the first options screen to appear, I thought I was in 'technical error' land

It seems to be progressing fine now though.

I would love to get the NFL on Direct TV here in the states. I live in Denver Bronco land so as far as I can tell the NFL only consists of the Denver Broncos and 31 other groups of people in brightly colored uniforms.

A skyscraper blocks my view to the satellite though. It's tempting to move just so I can watch the games I want.
