You know, I live just a few blocks from where a lot of that went on and I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary. Overall the city handled things very well.

Being crazy is natural this close to Boulder. That's why the state legislature recently adopted John Denver's "Rocky Mountain High" as second state song. The lyrics kinda give away that John wasn't just talking about the altitude

Actually, I done with everything, unless I get a call or a tasking from National Guard Bureau. Now I get to zone for 1.5 hours.

Some of us enlisted did that once in the old barracks in Graf. Used a laptop, 2 speakers and the sound of an Eagle cry followed by Gary Owen at max volume. Gary Owen just cause its lively, the eagle cry cause this particular fellow would have sold his mother for his full bird. We nicknamed him Col. Chinstrap due to his propensity to go ballistic on any enlisted soldier who was slightly out of uniform, i.e. chinstrap undone, rank slightly off center and even vomit on P.T. uniform after an Monday morning 8 mile run (in Germany, yeah we were sober

). In general he was trying to be a full bird by being a martinet
