A gentleman was out for a walk one day in Memphis and spotted a man on a bridge who looked like he might jump. Concerned he yelled up at the man "Whatever it is problemming ya don't jump!". The man responded "I can't take it anymore". The gentleman yelled "Think of yor Pa". "He's dead" responded the man. "Then think of your Ma" yelled the gentleman. The man yelled back that she was also dead. "Then in the spirit of Robert Lee don't do it" said the gentleman. "who's that" yelled the man.
The gentleman paused. Then shouted "Jump ya damn Yankee! Jump!"

Has anyone else tried out the new 'game'?  The rules are simple...

Look for a post by Terminus, and wait until he is offline.  Then post a reply and see how quickly he responds to your post    I did just now in the AE forum, and from my post it was about 30 seconds for him to log on, post a reply and then bugger off again

He just uses his TARDIS to adapt to the situation. Nothing out of the ordinary.

Later he will offer "Tardis Express". "When it absolutely has to be there before you sent it." is the motto. That is why AE's release date is actually in 3019 A.D. but will get here somewhat sooner. .

Reminds me of the joke from American Werewolf in London (one of my favorite movies):

A plane was crossing the Atlantic and started having engine trouble. They have to lighten the load because there are no parachutes. On board are a Brit, a Frenchman, a Mexican and an Texan. After throwing overboard everything they can get their hands on, including the baggage, etc., the plane is still too heavy. First, the Brit stands up, says 'God save the Queen,' and jumps out. But the plane is still too heavy. Next, the Frenchman stands up, says 'Vive la France,' and throws himself from the plane. But the plane is still too heavy. Then the Texan climbs to his feet, shouts 'Remember the Alamo,' and chucks the Mexican out.

It sounds a lot better if you picture it being told by a large drunken Welshman in an armpit of a pub.

Hi all,

Hmmm...

2 Russian strategic bombers land in Venezuela

By Associated Press

MOSCOW (AP) — Two Russian strategic bombers landed in Venezuela on Wednesday as part of military maneuvers, the government said, announcing an unprecendented deployment to the territory of a new ally at a time of increasingly tense relations with the U.S.

Russia's Defense Ministry said the two Tu-160 bombers flew to Venezuela on a training mission. It said in a statement carried by the Russian news wires that the planes will conduct training flights over neutral waters over the next few days before heading back to Russia.

Also Wednesday, NATO said it ended a routine exercise by four naval ships in the Black Sea. Russia had denounced the exercise as part of a Western military buildup sparked by the Georgia conflict.

The alliance said the four ships -- U.S. frigate USS Taylor and three similar vessels from Spain, Germany and Poland -- were moving back to the Mediterranean Sea after the 18-day mission.

In Moscow, Defense Ministry spokesman Alexander Drobyshevsky refused to say how long the Venezuela deployment will last or say whether the planes carried any weapons.

The military said NATO fighters escorted the two Russian bombers on their way to Venezuela.

The apparently retaliatory move follows the U.S. deployment of warships to deliver aid to the former Soviet nation of Georgia, barely a month after Russian armor and aircraft crushed the Georgian military in a five-day war.

Earlier this week, Russia said it will send a naval squadron and long-range patrol planes to Venezuela in November for a joint military exercise in the Caribbean.

The deployment of planes will be certain to anger Washington. Relations between the U.S. and Russia have been badly strained by the short war last month between Russia and U.S.-allied Georgia.

This is like the whole terrorist thing all over again. America's going to wake up one day and realize the enemy declared war on us years ago.

Glad you made it back safely.  It looks like Ike missed Florida.  Can't say that for Texas or Louisiana unfortunately.  I'm here at work staring at the weather channel watching it crawl toward the coast.  Glad I'm not there.  Looks ominous.
