From my own point of view I went from being unemployed for a year to employed after a dinner with you. You simply pointed out a few places to look that I had ignored. Perhaps your advice is worth a look. BTW keep me in mind if your new found success leads you to need any minions

slow? downright mummified. Yes. Been done with school since Febuary. Been looking since January. Not a single interview and only one bite....and that only for a two day contract job. Things just suck right now. May go back to school in the Fall if things don't brighten up.

Pal, if they do you, I'm going with ya. I reported the one thread with a request that the administrators or moderators do something about enforcing the rules around here - so far to no avail.

What happens, of course, is that some grape-jelly-for-brains mindless punk butthole wanders in from time to time and starts getting his jollies off by hijacking threads and pursuing some weird social agenda (usually anti-American, and pro-some-form-of-fascism, but there have been notable others).

Some of us - you included - try to respond with a little good-natured humor to defuse the thing, but all that happens is that these idiots are encouraged because no official action is taken or sanctions imposed.

Then, the well-meaning people get insulted and try to shoot back. Usually, they are the ones who get slapped down or banned. I remember that, within ten minutes of posting an innocuous Photoshop job of Barack Obama made to look like a Vulcan (a pic I'm sure the Prez himself would get a kick out of), my pal Erik warned me about injecting "politics" into the discussion.

Yet, here we are. What ever happened to insisting that threads here relate to the game to which the particular subforum relates? There never should have been a "Patton vs. MacArthur" or "Black sailors blew up Pearl Harbor" thread in the first place.

Fer chrissake, people, the rules are clear. Let's follow 'em. Admins and mods, let's enforce 'em - early, even-handedly, and fairly.

Threads like this are for killin' time waiting for the next WitP-related game release. We all seem to have learned how to keep it light and friendly - in fact, a number of close friendships betqween and among gamers have been formed as a result of this thread (not with me - you all know what an antisocial b@stard I am).

I'm disgusted with what's being done - and tolerated - around here.

Nik, sorry to hear the job market has been slow. I just pray each day I have a job tomorrow. If you ever want to talk over the job market let me know. I don't know much about the industry your in (I think I recall correctly what you went to school for), but I used to be a recruiter, so know a few things about job hunting. If so, feel free to PM, IM or call.

i actualy am. but normaly we shut down around here about 4(today it's 2 because the office is shutting down at 3) and play wii and arcade games. right now i am actualy making san configuration changes.

the dreaded I.T. industry. Looking for an entry level job in hardware/netware. I'll take any advice offered. My email is public if you have suggestions. just click moi name for the profile info.

I should be thankful that at least i have a job currently....even if it is sucking the life and soul out of me and causing a swath of health issues. But i can afford to take the GF out for a drink....or two or three or four or five after a bad day at work.

For what it is worth, I don't understand why so many of the Forum members are so thin-skinned. Let people have their say--even if a little off topic. If you have time for an informed response, then try and debate. Otherwise, ignore the crap. The odd perspectives that some people bring to the various threads can be an opportunity for those of you who have enormous stores of knowledge to coach, teach and mentor.

Additionally, I find that humor is hard to write and easy to misinterpret as ridicule...
