They also tend to not understand why we stare at computer monitors for hours blowing things up. .....that is unless your Abby on NCIS.

And she's a fictional character...

So is Ziva.....but she bears a striking resembelence in temperment to the GF unit!

Okay, this time it wasn't my fault! Who was supposed to be on wood-watching duty?

Well, go figure, tonight she came over and we made brownies and watched Martin, a film that George A Romero probably leaves off his resume. All better.

hopefully they were special brownies

Ha, no, but while we were making them, I mentioned that she really knew a lot about making brownies, and she said, "what, haven't you ever made brownies before?"

"Well, sure, like once."

"Didn't you ever make them to put...other things in them?"

Oh. Oh, I see.

Good luck, Historiker!  Training for an Ironman triathlon is fun.  The big issue is having enough hours in the week to do it.  It takes up a lot of time when the runs and rides start getting longer and longer.  I've done 2 Half Ironman's and really wasn't able to train properly for either one.  Until my daily and weekly life schedules change quite a bit, I won't be able to consider a full Ironman.

So why don't you just join me? :) Risk it and don't think about the consequences

Because I'm happily married, and would like to keep it that way.
my friend who does full irons say the saying in that community is if you have a wife or girlfriend it means your not training hard enough.

I can understand why any woman would object to anyone buying a book. Would she rather you have a cocain addiction? Maybe you should waste it at a strip joint? If your girl friend complains about you expanding your mind, ask where she would rather you spend it on? I hope she's beautiful and talented , because she certain sounds like she's high maintainance.

High maintenance is having the lot. One GF unit....one Pitbull....(also a girl), and one jelous black mare who sees the GF unit as the competition!

you own a horse

Come on, LogBoy, it must be your second time... Besides, taking 9 years to get to 20K isn't really that much of an achievement. I've been here 4 years and have gone far beyond you...

So pfffttt...
