Some of us have the old strategy first version of the game. How will this one differ? Will there be any kind of price break for those who have the older version?

I don't know what version the old SF release was or what it contained, so unfortunately I can't answer that. We also have no upgrade info for other releases, but we are pricing this at $19.99 so that it won't break the bank.

Regards,

- Erik

Just thought I'd ask

Hi vaalen!

The difference between SF and new AGEOD/Matrix version is the newly released patch, that is only compatible with the new version.
But the good news are that if you have some proof that you SF game is a legit one, you can send them to the AGEOD guys and they will send you a new serial compatible with the new patch.
Check this thread about the new patch and SF games

Regards

EDIT: i forgot the bad news... that most of AGEOD team is on vacations right now, so maybe you will have to wait a little for an answer

This looks interesting and will provide a good break from WW2 action. It has been added to my buy list.

Hi, JMass!

Is there any mirror for your mod? I got problems downloading at Rapidshare.

I could send you a PM with my e-mail address but you'd have to change your preferences.

And yes, the game is pausable real time, like the EU series (at least as far as I know).

Well, now I am confused. Matrix's page states that this game is IGOUGO.

You are saying that it is RTS that can be paused.

Which is it?

Pausible continuous time. Semantics, maybe, but "real time" or "RTS" have too many associations that have nothing to do with this game, or indeed the Paradox titles. They all play rather like WEGO, the difference being you select how long each 'turn' is (at least in single-player). Certainly not IGOUGO, though!

I have AGEOD version 1.07c. Is the Matrix version the same? As I'll point out in an up-coming review, this game is unlike most, although the EU concept comes closest.

Ours is v1.07d, I believe, but I think v1.07c and v1.07d are very close to identical.
