I enjoy the game and many new features, but have a question re: Area of Operations.

I understand the theory of offering multiple (10) versions, but when setting up a game (email) you pick the variation. If you pick the variation of AoO then how is this a 'surprise' to the opponent? Example: now using variation #6 which gives 8th HQ unlimited range. If an opponent knows you are using Var #6 (and it says it on multiple screens) and this is always the AoOs for this particular var., where is the surprise/unknown factor? Am I missing something?

If you select 'Mystery Areas of OPs' for both sides when you start a PBEM game, neither side will know which variant the other player has, as both will be randomly selected, and this info is not shared. For additional uncertainty, select 'Unknown Units' for both sides.

cheers Chris
