I have played a few war games over the years, board and computer.

Looking for a good WWII game.

One that has good tutorials, as a wreck 8 years ago has made my memory a bit off.

DO you like to micro-manage?
Do you like long drawn-out games or fast couple of hour-type games?

If you like the former, check out War in the Pacific
I didn't like a huge scope and grand scale type but I just had to have this titile and it is the best economic choice I have ever made.

How hard is it get the feel of?

Its a steep price, so I am wary, but I'll look at it some more.

There are multiple games that have excellent tutorials and instructions-games which cover vastly different areas. If you have any particular preference or interest, make them known-then the suggestions will be plentiful....

John Tiller Campaign Series WWII,

Good tutorials, "easy" to get into, covers Pacific, East Front, West Front, tons of scenarios. It has a decent campaign system, and the game is well supported by Jason Petho (I hope I spelled his name correctly). The graphics can switch between 2 and 3 dimensional. Covers from regiment to division, but is a tactical wargame. Great PBEM, and TCIP is supported.

Gem, you missed these questions:
Tactical, operational, or strategic level?
I go U go, We Go, or Real Time gameplay?

I'm not wargamer nut as many others here (I play other kind of games too), so I can't offer many recommendations. However I recommend you to find out more precisely what kind of games you want to play. There are many cost-free wargames, which you can get started with, and when you find various variables you are interested about, then ask more precisely recommendations about games what have something you want.

Anyways my top recommendation goes for Steel Panthers World at War. It is available for free, turn & hex based, tactical level, covers whole WW2 and beyond all over the world, concentration with combined arms ground combat. PDF manuals and tutorial missions are excellent, and you can master game further with additional tutorial scenarios (need to be downloaded first). Related links:

I agree. I am not normally a tactical level fan but this is a good one.

Thank you all, for the info.

As for what I like, I enjoy all types of games.

I Like SciFi Historical and even Fantasy, as long as it offers good game play, and is fun.

Small unit is fun, but there seems to be little in this area.
