I didn't want to further hijack the Sig Banner thread, so I thought I'd start a new one.

Are any of the WITP players out there who live in the Denver area planning to go to Tacticon at the end of August?

On related note - who all around here is near enough to Denver to get together now and then? Maybe we can get a group together to play some board games now and then, or just have a beer and swap WITP tales..... My wife and kids eyes just look at me funny when I get all excited about my latest operation going off perfectly.

I live less then an hour north of Denver.  Don't plan on attending the convention though.

Perhaps we could think of a game eventually since we would be in the same time zone.  I know that there at least 3-4 more people on the Forum who live in Colorado.

Yea, maybe a 2x2 AE game or something? Or maybe some other real-time games, those definitely benefit from time zone commonality.

You could say I'm near Denver...as I live 5 blocks from the capital.

No convention for me though...right now I'm doing good if someone slips so food under the office door once in a while.

I'm playing my first campaign. One player slot could be quartermaster and he'd be the busiest guy on the team.

http://www.denvergamers.com/sub/

that link should take you to the Tacticon info. If you go to Attactix in Aurora they will have event catalogs.

I live in Thornton I think we should get together. Swap stories and introduce ourselves as part of the Thread.

You can also print/view a PDF of the vent list on the webpage you posted above.

Nice to see a few hit on this thread.... grognards know the high ground is tactically better, so they all move to the Rocky Mountain state.

Although I can't say I'm a regular Thread tither (is that a word?), I still think it would be nice to get together.

If someone has a garage or a basement with no cats, we could play the board game version of War in the Pacific.

I have a large basement and no cats other than the strays that pass through my yard.

I live in southeast Denver, near the Cherry Creek Park.  I own a couple of big games, War in Europe, World in Flames, just currently not enough space to set them up.  I haven't played WITP in long time. I would be up for a game. Curse you small apartment!!

I'm going to try. I've gotta get sick on the 29th plan a day off from work to do so.

Nice to see how many there are of us.  I like the 2x2 idea when AE comes out...

P.S. I am planning on attending Tacticon, just haven't finalized my game schedule yet.

Not sure of the details yet, but my house all day Sunday the 21st, just to throw it out there. In Thornton. And for those who are from out of town I have a spare bedroom.

Excellent.

The only issue I have with Sept 21 is that it is my wife's birthday, but I think I can manage to work around that. Saturday can be birthday stuff and then head to Thornton on Sunday.

Yea, hey - whatever... A 3x3 would be cool. The teams could occasionally get together at the local pub and discuss plans. Other patrons might look at us funny when we pull out the laminated maps and grease pencils though...
