I am in the autodraft league right now. I usually do the pro league but I may not be abe to do the live draft this year so I was leaving it open for someone who can. If you need another body I can join and just set a list.

Actually, if it's just a case of not being able to make the draft, so long as you trust your player rankings (if you do a custom pre-draft rankings list in the autodraft league, you can export to to other Yahoo leagues, too), you could still join, and it will autodraft for you in your draft slot. Kind of a crapshoot, since you never really know how good a job it's going to do, though.

I'm rarin' to go!

One question...I was changing my pre-draft rankings, and figured I'd look at the categories for defensive players. There was sort of a small group of the occasional big name with a few "Who the Hell is that?" types. Are the names in there at that time (this was earlier in the week) the names that will be there Sunday, or will every DL, DB and LB be an option come draft time?

Here's the info from Paul, you want to go to http://football.fantasysports.yahoo.com/f1/splash?type=home and click on "Join a League" (the blue button) under the Football '08 section on the right. Then type in the ID and the password per the info below. I'd love to have a few more in the "Pro" league, but I think all of them still have room.

-----

Ok the matrix leagues are up The password to all of them is 'Matrix' (no quotes)

Matrix classic is the standard Yahoo autodraft league (ID# 446786). 16 teams 3 week playoff (weeks 14,15,16 - 8 teams)

Matrix Hall of Fame 09 is biased toward scoring and has a live draft 30 Aug at 1100 am Eastern (ID# 446860)
This league uses 2QB 3WR 2RB 1 W/T 1 W/R 2 K 2 DEF and 7 bench slots. 10 teams, 2 week play off (weeks 15,16 - 4 teams).

Matrix Pro Football 09 is baised toward stats ans has a live draft 31 Aug at 100pm Eastern (ID# 446952)
This league has 1QB 3WR 2RB 1TE 1W/R 1K 2D 3DB, 3DL and 8 bench slots. 12 teams , 3 week playoff (weeks 14, 15, 16 - 6 teams)

They should all be in there. Go to the Players section and you can sort/filter by position and by any of the stats/rankings including "Fan Pts" which is the calculated points per the league system of each player. You can also specify what period you want to look at (i.e. 2007 performance, projected 2008 performance, etc.)

If we don't get one more player I will add "chump the Chimp" to get an even number.

(Chump the Chimp always goes bye the Yahoo predictions to set his roster.

Hey! You can't have a team that copies my strategy for picking!

Do they really have to? I love competing with other teams drafting DeAngelo Williams in Round 3 and kickers in the 6th.

Well, scheduling the draft early on a saturday morning ensures few people will show up. Some people work on saturdays,...those that dont are sleeping.

yea, i was quite surprised it turned out so well. had to make a couple free agent moves to get rid of the extra icker, extra defense and some other dead weight. but it's looking pretty solid on paper.

Sorry, all three leagues have drafted. Season starts Tomorrow night. I waited as long as I could...

We do it every year, Baseball and Football. Though next year I'm debating adding a NASCAR league to fill the gap between football and baseball.

He of course was my 1st pick in two of three drafts... Rodgers was my primary back up, in one and Kurt Warner in another...

Off to a weak 1-2 start...

Kickin ass this week,.

Should end the week as the top scoring team, and will certainly be out of the cellar and back in the mix of things.

Speaking of top scoring team...I'd like to thank my receivers this week, since without them, I was hooped in the Pro Football league.

This has been pretty interesting so far, in that I'm new to the whole deal and didn't realize how much could go wrong.

Draft day kinda sucked because my wife and I came back from brunch late, and I missed the first two rounds. Week 1 fell apart on me when the Cowboys didn't follow their depth chart, and rearranged one of my starters out of the lineup. Then Hurricane Ike put two of my best defenders out of Week 2! Thank goodness for this weekends turaround, so I can stop my whining.

Anyway, it's really all a lot of fun. I named my team "Fudgehammers" after a former Forty-Niner's linebacker, Frank Nunley. I've staffed it with every criminal that I can lay my hands on, felons of every sort. Sure, there are a few "goody-two-shoes" types on the squad, but I'll be disappointed if they don't get at least a DWI before the season's over, members of my new family, as it were.

DEFENSE RULES: GO FUDGEHAMMERS!

PoE
