I'll double check the error this evening, anyone else have a moment to open the Rising Sun ORG editor?

The unit being flagged in your report should work, so puzzled why it isn't.

DCG are another function that is not working correctly, OOB's need a bunch of work, mortar's and below need fixing for blowouts on armor, again the assault issues, incorrect bump files loading for graphic representation Help file is non helpful in that respect does not include a how to section for the main updates. OB planes non esistant in DCG's Fuel and Supply dumps non existant in DCG, all the wiz bangs are scenario specific not global Dynamic Campaigns.

The "wiz bangs" were never intended for Dynamic Campaigns.

Does it need to?

If you want them in the Dynamic Campaigns, you can edit the Dynamic Campaign OOB's to include them.

Why should I have to edit it to include, it should be part of the product itself when playing.

They are included in scenarios, as was their intention.

Since you don't want the editing done on the weapons and platoons , I want the product to work, no tweaking on part. You are Tech Support so I want a Product Error Ticket Number for these problems. So I can track the progress. As a product it should have been golden as soon as I purchased it. Battleground was. The Civil Brand of this. Forge of Freedom was no problems. Korsun Pocket and Highy to the Reich no problems.

it says scale of units Platoons, and editing the OOB's I was to take it Platoons can be edited. They were, but then you took that out so I guess this is a bit of a nudge of truth...you can edit but not platoons even though the scale is Platoon, you can't touch them

    Wrong

They were never able to edit in the Talonsoft editors.

You had to use a third party encryptor to do so.

Furthermore, you can edit some elements of the platoon in the Editors.

    Strength
    Morale
    Disruption
    Fatigue

That has always been the case.

  • As I read this, the unit scale is platoon. This has nothing to do with the editors.

The editors are for (1) scenario, (2) map, and (3) order of battle. As I read this, the order of battle editor allows you to put together an order of battle, which is precisely what the OOB editor does. This doesn't say the game provides a unit editor.

The "and editing" seems like surplusage. In any event, it doesn't say, "and unit editing." The way I read "and editing," it means that once you've created a scenario, a map, and an order of battle, you can go back and edit the scenario, map, and OOB files you created.

I am an idiot so I take things for how they read and not what the intention is. It say full editor, Platoons, so I am reading as Platoon editing....so there is no problem I need to fully edit the platoon editing true? As the product reads not what your opinion is. If there is opposite written instructions in a sealed box or download then what the product data sheet says isn't that a problem?

Where does it say platoon editing in this line?

Nothing about unit creation or platoon editing.

What is it you are wanting exactly? The thread started with a complaint that the support for JTSC will continue in 2010 after patch 1.04 (is that bad? ... no the game gets continued support, plus new titles), now we are at platoon level editing questions?

Please keep in mind that Jason and the Beta Brigade provide their time and support FREE. This kind of mindless whingeing could end up with them saying 'OK you go fix it' which I don't think is what we want.

Constructive criticism is fine but this level of complaint is silly and childish.

Not my problem if they do it for free...granted very admirable....with no support I want the ability to add platoons and edit the weapons file...that simple. no more no less...the product sheet says Platoons and Companies...thenstates full editing...so I take it I can edit atleast the full Platoon file...that is how this dense head is. I ain't the sharpest tool and never claim to be. If they cannot do that then I want the game fixed so it does what it states it can do no more and no less...I did not know I could Edit this stuff till I bought it. I bought it according to the old style of talonsoft. Which great that it is being supported. Now after the release it gets locked down and not supported in that way until 2010 or 2011....that is junk. Should have spent that money on something useful.....like hmmmmm lunch

    For someone who states:

    quote:

I take things for how they read and not what the intention is.

You are placing intention where there is none.

    And by your own findings:

    I want I want I want.

Are you wanting to create a killer mod for the whole community or just being mischievious with all the different complaints?

Instead of being honest and saying when things will get done, maybe Jason should say this feature fix will be looked at sometime in the future, and leave it at that.

Jeez, seems more like adding up posts to me... Always has to be one. Say it once, Jason, the Beta Brigade are operating under the wishes of David Heath, the owner of Matrix, who I happen to know now for many years, we aren't doing anything covert, everything is ok'd by him ultimately. What exactly are these uber modifications you are so bent on making, that you can't just get withthe damn program and send to Jason as suggested? Jason is the front man as it were for Campaign Series. Insulting him, and us with all this will get you nowhere. As he said, you don't like 1.03, go back, whatever. Sorry man, I like you, but getting tired of all this attacking.

    Best regards,

    Mike
