ORIGINAL: KG Erwin In my view, the community's results were mostly successful, but some other by-popularity-vote changes put paid to any further involvement by Mr. Wood. You players can draw your own conclusions. Hmmm...something happen during my 2 year absence from the forums that I missed? Last I can recall was Mike was tweaking the code of his own accord and even took in some community feedback before having to re-direct his time and efforts on other more pressing (planned money-making) ventures for MG. I wasn't even aware that other "outside forces" were the true cause of his SPWAW mech work-stoppage. Wow, learn something new everyday I guess. You are correct, Ken. IIRC, Mike also had some trouble with data files during a move or computer error or somesuch. I remember talking to him about it at Origins, but forget the exact situation. He was doing all of the recent changes on his own time, due to issues that were bugging him. He did plan on doing more of the requested changes, but then the above incidences occured. but some other by-popularity-vote changes put paid to any further involvement by Mr. Wood. From my conversations with Mike, this is patently incorrect, and basically rumor-mongering. One assumes you refer to ENH or the OOB project at the Depot, which led into ENH. Mike was extremely impressed with ENH ("some of the cleanest, best OOB work he has seen"), and wanted to make it the official OOB set for the game. Reverse compatibility prevented this. Matrix even allowed some code changes via TDR Hack for some of the game data. Goblin
